Excellent accommodation with great views
Our host was welcoming and added nice touches to the accomodation to make it a very pleasant stay. Comfortable and of a good size with a balcony with a great view over the town & bay. Car parking is fine but be aware that there is a very steep drive up to the property for both vehicles & pedestrians. Centrally located with only a 10 minute walk to the town centre and harbour.

We stayed in the Gold Suite… a very comfortable studio apartment with a huge balcony and lovely view. The king size bed is very comfortable. The kitchenette has all the basic necessities and the deck is outfitted with a patio table and chairs as well as a BBQ. The air conditioning was a must on the hot days. What makes this place extra special is the host… Marilyn. It was lovely to chat with Marilyn. She went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Everything in Paihia is within walking distance of Absolute Bliss…shops, restaurants, attractions. Most days we didn’t use our car. The driveway is very steep but there is plenty of parking up top. Not too bad to walk up/down as long as you don’t have mobility issues.

Oh, how we loved this place. We stayed a week at the end of our New Zealand holiday and couldn’t have wished for anything better. Marilyn is a huge character and the perfect host for her wonderful accommodation. The flat is large with a super comfy bed and a huge balcony giving great views over Paihia and the islands beyond. A bonus is the BBQ on the balcony available for use. The location is great – an elevated position just at the end of the main street, so it’s an easy walk down into town for shops and ferries. The balcony gets the evening sun so is a great place to sip something chilled at the end of the day. Warmly recommended.

Excellent views, great location
Lovely stay at a comfortable property. Marilyn was very responsive and helpful. Our unit was well appointed and the kitchenette had everything we needed. The couch was super comfortable to relax and read or watch tv. The bed was a little worn, but we slept well. The deck is wonderful and gives an excellent view of the sea and the amazing sunrises! The driveway is steep, but there was plenty of space to park. The whole town is walkable from the unit. It gave us great access to food and to the ferry to Russell. We also drove out to the Treaty Grounds, which were amazing to see.
