此農家屋適合特大家庭或多家庭，有4-5卧室，住10個人沒問題。但設施老舊，清潔也不佳，屋子整日開窗還有味道，不適合度假。

Although the address listed was wrong, and the Trip.com didn’t forward my phone number to the owner, she was able to find me after I called. The place is large enough to sleep 5 people, and we are able to shop close by and cook dinner. We liked the authentic feeling of small town Hawaii.

I wasn't entirely sure what I was booking with this, I went through ********** who I have used extensively all over the world for the last 10 years, however their system really isn't setup for places like this, they need to stick to just hotels as with a property like this, you need to be able to communicate with the person at the property, or agent and from what Julia said finally, she did not get my messages advising what time I was going to arrive (late) and that due to having a UK phone, I needed to be contacts via internet based systems not phone or text. As I arrived at around 9.30 PM the village was dark and I did get further help finding the place as it is set back off the road and I couldn't see it. If you are staying here and coming in on a late flight, you need to bare in mind the 2 hour drive and also that there is nothing in the way of food locally, similarly if you head to the National Park the next day, there is no food along the way. The property was lovely, the bathroom could have been cleaner, I am not saying it was dirty, but there was long dark hair on the floor and in the bath and I am blond. The bath tap dripped as it did not turn right off. Unfortunately, these were the worst 2 nights sleep I have had, and I can literally sleep anywhere, the roosters/cockerills DO NOT stop, and neither do the barking dogs. All my windows were open as it was hot so I would have probably heard less with them closed, but it is worth noting. To be fair, I had read reviews about this but it wasn't enough to stop me giving it a go, and I am not saying to not go because of it. This was a very unusual property and I did enjoy my stay.

Adorable building which could be nice but unfortunately beds are horrible as well as sheet/pillows. Sheets didn’t stay on the bed and no mattress cover. But worse is the Roosters and the dogs! Roosters started at 2 am, they are all sides of house. Dogs all night plus crying puppy. Ear plugs placed in a rooster in the house not helpful. Bathroom spelled like old gas station bathroom.

Nous y sommes allés dans le contexte exceptionnel des incendies de Maui et donc évacués sur Big Island, histoire de retrouver un rythme normal de vacanciers. Tout étant bien complet, nous nous sommes retrouvés par hasard et sans autre choix dans cette maison, située à quasi 2h de route de Kona... En toute honnêteté, je n'aurais jamais choisi d'y séjourner de moi même, mais en situation d'urgence, c'était mieux que de dormir sur le parking du Shelter. Tout cette histoire pour le contexte, et surtout quand j'ai lu les commentaires laissés sur Tripadvisor: pas rassurants. En premier lieu, le cottage est en fait géré par une très gentille dame ayant plusieurs cottages (maisons). Normalement, elle prend contact avec les locataires pour lui indiquer de quelle maison il s'agit. Dans tous les cas, ne vous fiez pas à l'adresse officielle, ce n'est pas là ! Au final, nous avions une maison plus grande que prévu, c'est sympa. Maison en bord de route mais calme (le village est perdu dans le Sud au milieu de rien !... bien prévoir vos courses car l'épicerie du coin ferme à 17h, midi le dimanche) et une vue mer au loin. La maison est soyons honnête en mauvais état, vraiment très vieillotte, pas dans mes critères de propreté (porte frigo pleins de tâches, moisissures sur extérieur de la douche, linge très vieux). Par contre, je reconnais que l'intérieur du frigo, de la douche sont propres. En fait, tout ce qui en contact direct avec nous est propre, faut pas regarder à côté. La description fait peur, je le reconnais. Mais sachez qu'au final nous avons passé un très bon séjour (3 jours) : l'emplacement est top pour visite de Volcano à 30 mn (mieux que Hilo), plage de sable vert, plage de sable noir avec ses tortues et poissons à profusion, visite du Sud de l'Ile. Egalement, je tiens à souligner la gentillesse de Sylvia. Elle s'est démenée le soir de notre arrivée afin que nous ayons un BBQ afin de préparer notre repas car pas d'électricité dans le village, et nous avions déjà vécu Maui.

Older giant home and places with much lesser modern needs.. the sugar plantation place needs lots of TLC.. it has run down as years gone by.. the village also has minimum services.. however, its close to several nearby places to visit. The manager is very helpful even with my belligerent behavior.. my apologies.. macadamia farms, coffee farms, Buddhist Temple, Black Sands Beach and the Mauna Kea are all very nearby.. Vehicle is a must.. i didnt have one.. much hotter than other places on the Big Island. Public transport there but less.. Good Luck.. Aloha and Mahalo..
