Facilities & Amenities: The property features well-maintained pools, spacious rooms with air conditioning, and aesthetically pleasing architecture. Some units include private balconies or outdoor spaces, and the grounds are described as clean and Instagram-worthy.

Very friendly staff. Recommend small table and chair in room, luggage bench/ rack, dining room entertainment such as karaoke, and connections to locals for transportation service to get to other destinations other than the hotel.

The Ikani Surf Resort sits on the coastline at Pagudpud just across the road from the beach and the clear water of the South China Sea. It is striking because of its white painted low rise chalets with thatched roofs set around its own pool. It is also striking because, very disappointingly Pagudpud is a rather run down ramshackle place that spoils its otherwise attractive natural assets. So much more could surely be contemplated to clean the place up and attract more visitors. But such is the apparent will of the locals. The Ikani is in my view just about OK. It’s rooms are very basic but do have aircon. The rooms however let themselves down with their bathrooms that evidently have the rather ubiquitous drainage problems and offer the visitor an extremely unpleasant occasional stench! There is a single restaurant on site which serves reasonably good local food for breakfast and dinner. This is useful since I didn’t see any other restaurants in Pagudpud that would attract a visitor.
