What a wonderful place to stay! We loved the beautiful surroundings and spent a lot of time on the deck reading; having a glass of wine; watching the rain, lightening, and thunder; enjoying the birds, horses, chickens, deer, and even pigs! The breakfast was amazing as was the company. You cannot go wrong booking time here.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oh my goodness, I just had the best time at Elk Trace Ranch in Pagosa Springs, Colorado! This place is absolutely gorgeous—you can’t beat the stunning ranch and scenery. Seriously, every view is like a postcard! The directions to get there were spot-on, which made our arrival super easy. Plus, they went above and beyond by accommodating us as last-minute guests at 9:30 PM! Talk about a welcoming vibe! The host is amazing—so friendly and helpful! And don't even get me started on the breakfast; it was second to none! Honestly, it was one of the best meals I had on my entire trip. I wish I could’ve taken some home with me! We were so lucky to wake up to a beautiful snowfall, which led to the most fun early morning snowball fight. It truly made our stay extra special! If you’re ever in Pagosa Springs, you’ve got to check out Elk Trace Ranch. I can’t recommend it enough! You’re going to love it!

Wonderful place. Quiet and super comfy. Evelyn and staff made sure we felt welcome and at home. Our room and the few other guests were great. Excellent breakfast. An amazing home, very tastefully decorated. Close to town but seemed like miles away. Don't miss the next door wagon rides at Buckaroos. I'd give it six stars.

Very hospitable couple who did everything REASONABLE to make sure our stay was perfect. Got to meet a few animals on this lovely property as well...Very romantic and dreamy view of the Pagosa Springs area. I would absolutely tell others to not hesitate, this is definitely worth the visit if you looking for something its culture in the area!

Beautiful home after Pagosa Spring at the end of its own private road with a very nice bedroom and big bathroom, although one must be aware that some bedrooms have a shared bathroom with your nextdoor bedroom neighbor. We didnt have anyone next to us so all was perfect. Very good breakfast made by the owner of the property who was a very nice host .

Amazing hospitality! We were greeted when we arrived and shown to our room. The room was so cute and had its own bathroom and spacious shower. The lodge itself was super cozy and had beautiful views. I loved being able to bring our fur babies with us. Will definitely come back

This place is a paradise if you want peace, quiet, space and natural beauty. Evelyn was a lovely host, kind and available but also very respectful for your own space and we felt superbly welcome. Annex building is beautiful and the view from the porch so serene, I wish we could have stayed longer. Town is close by for dinner and activities but you feel nicely separated from it in this wonderful ranch. This B&B makes you feel safe, calm and happy to just be and relax. A great getaway destination!

We recently stayed at Elk Trace. It is a working horse ranch surrounded by mountains. The accommodations, service and breakfasts were great, but the best part was walking around the ranch in the mornings and evenings. What could be better than mountains serving as a backdrop for watching horses and deer in the pastures. Although it is only a short drive to nearby Pagosa Springs, the ranch is quiet and serene, and a wonderful base camp for exploring the mountains and rivers. We loved our stay.
