Our one-night stay was very enjoyable. We received a friendly welcome at reception, with rooms all ready. We had driven directly from London (UK) to Paderborn and the hotel's free, off-road car park was a welcome site, and located just metres from the entrance. No searching for car parking! The hotel's public areas were well decorated, clean and spacious and our rooms were comfortable with all the usual facilities. We didn't have dinner at the hotel. Our time in Paderborn was limited, so wanted to explore the city centre and dine there. Personally, I had not visited Paderborn for many, many years and was pleasantly surprised that it it hadn't changed too much. The hotel is a 15-minute cab ride from the hotel - couldn't face anymore driving - and it cost a reasonable 17 euros (for a party of three). Breakfast was great. Varied with a choice of hot and cold food and drink. All-in-all, the Waldhotel Nachtigall offers friendly and welcoming accommodation, as well as great value for money. We hope to return to Paderborn and, upon doing so, would have no hesitation in choosing this hotel.

Das Hotel habe ich zum wiederholten Male für eine Klausurtagung einer kleinen Gruppe gebucht. Saubere Zimmer, gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis, mehr oder weniger reibungslose Vorfeld-Organisation. Übernachtung/Essen/Raumausstattung war alles ok. Gebuchte Tagungsessen etc. günstig, auch im Preis. Leider gab es dieses Mal ein paar Probleme. Keine direkte Abrechnung vor Ort möglich, keine Aufsplittung der Rechnung auf die Teilnehmenden, falsche mündliche Aussage (trotzt expliziter Nachfrage) des Preises und nachträglich in der Kommunikation keinerlei Bestrebungen eine gemeinsame Lösung zu finden. Das nehme ich als überaus unprofessionell auf und muss bedauerlicherweise in Zukunft auf eine Zusammenarbeit verzichten. Sehr schade.

Reception staff quite off standish but helpful.Very nice breakfast.
Lovely ,hardworking breakfast staff.
Wish there was a kettle in the room,I like to have a coffee or tea when I want one.

Hotel war super und sehr flexibel, allerdings hatte ich in anderen Hotels für unseren Hund 2 Näpfe und eine hundedecke für unseren Hund, da wir ja auch dafür bezahlen, das ein Hund dabei ist…

Spent one night and arrived later than planned, so we barely saw this hotel in the daytime, but it served us well for the night. The room & bed were comfortable and had enough space for us. There was a nice view from the window facing the back of the hotel, which was quite peaceful in the morning. Didn't have breakfast there. The area was nice and quiet, and there are restaurants within about 10 min walk. Very nice place.
