Solar Egas Moniz is a wonderful place to spend time with family and friends: with beautifully appointed ensuite bedrooms, each with its own decorative theme; a large and cheerful dining room; a well-maintained, spacious garden and pool area; game room, and more. The location was perfect for us: nestled in a quiet, picturesque village with easy access to nature trails, rivers and waterfalls, yet only a 35-minute drive (or train ride) to the delights of Porto. Most importantly, our hosts Iva and Natalia welcomed us with open arms and graciously anticipated our every need. In short, a memorable and renewing experience.

This well-maintained, immaculate home, with a pool and jungle gym, was the perfect place for our vacation. The hostess, Iva, couldn't have been more accomodating and helpful. Fresh delicious rolls were delivered daily, the house was cleaned mid-week, garbage removed daily, the rooms comfortable, the hot water, plentiful. There is a ping pong table and bikes with helmets--everything you need for a lovely vactaion. Only 30 min drive from Porto--have the urban experience, and then relax in the country!

We had a wonderful stay at this amazing villa! Eva and her dedicated team did everything they could to make us feel welcome, comfortable and pampered! The gorgeous bedrooms are large and spacious, the en suite bathrooms are well equipped with plenty of towels, etc. The public areas - diningroom, lounge and sitting room - are all well-appointed with all that you could ask for, from large TV screens to fireplaces, a fully- stocked bar to a library... and more! The very well maintained grounds include a beautiful swimming pool, games room, barbecue area with a taboon, and a delightful inner courtyard. The kitchen is extremely week equipped with masses of cooking, eating and serving utensils. It is set to very well to allow for the catering to large groups. Thank you, Eva, for taking such good care of us... we'd love to visit again sometime soon!

The picture-perfect, charming, and extremely comfortable villa is matched by it's wonderful hostesses, Iva & Natalia. They saw to every need of our rather large and diverse group of 15. The rooms are well appointed and the pool was a delight to return after a day out sight-seeing and/or hiking. The dining room and living rooms accommodated a social and convivial atmosphere, but there were also enough quiet nooks and crannies for down time. Solar Egas Moniz is conveniently located about 1/2 hr away from Porto and historic villages, such as Guimaraes. Quite a wonderful vacation!

Tive uma experiência maravilhosa neste hotel e recomendo de coração. O ambiente é acolhedor, com uma área externa incrível e uma piscina perfeita para relaxar. Ideal para viagens em família, casal ou entre amigos, o local oferece conforto e tranquilidade em cada detalhe. O quarto era muito confortável, com uma cama excelente que proporcionou ótimas noites de sono. Tudo estava limpo, bem cuidado e preparado com muito carinho. Um destaque especial vai para a Ivinha, que é um amor de pessoa. Sempre atenciosa e dedicada, ela cuida de tudo com muito zelo e faz com que cada hóspede se sinta especial. Foi uma estadia encantadora, com estrutura de qualidade e atendimento caloroso. Com certeza voltarei e indico para quem busca momentos especiais em um lugar bonito, confortável e cheio de boas energias!
