Inn at Cape Kiwanda

The outstanding employee is Renee at the front desk, who booked me, my spa appointments and took care of my every need. She and all the staff are awesome. This is a lovely in on the highway opposite the beach. My second floor room with terrace, and all rooms have terraces, looks straight on to the haystack rock. The sunset view is magnificent. The room is beautifully appointed with a luxurious bathtub, fireplace and comfortable chairs. Beach chairs, bicycles, dvds and more available. The Meridian Headlands Spa and Resort is their sister company across the street so do take advantage of their spa and dining facilities. Around town, look for the Amazing Lucky Beach Boutique, antique shopping and Rowboat Gallery on Brooten Road. I had an amazing stay, lingered extra days and did not want to leave! Enjoy.

The hotel is on the main road which was noisy sitting on the balcony but the ocean views and view of Haystack rock were amazing. Easy to walk to a great coffee shop and bakery, restaurants, the beach, and a nice Marketplace next door as well. The rooms have been recently remodeled and were pretty nice. Hotel staff was friendly. Would recommend it .

Excellent views, comfortable, clean and great proximity to everything you need. The Market, Pelican Brewing and Headlands Spa and Restaurant are all great places to check out while here. The views from every balcony can't be beat! I loved watching the surfers head out every morning wile enjoying my coffee from the local java shop Stimulus adjacent to the lobby. Also loved using the electric fireplace every night for that elevated beach side ambiance. Location on the edge of Pacific City is perfect, so close to tons of wildlife... just a few miles to Cape Meares Lighthouse, Oceanside Beach and downtown Tillamook.

My first complaint happened at check in. My husband had personally gone down three months earlier, to make reservation in person so we could have the room with the best view. It was for our 50th anniversary. Nothing was said to us as we checked in regarding the room. We got our key cards and went to go to our room. Only to discover we had been moved to the room at very end of building, with a great view of hotel parking across the street. We returned to the desk and were told then, that the room my husband reserved was not ready, they were being re-modeled. No phone call, not a word to us. We were told there are no guarantee on reservations. I spoke with the manager the next morning and told her what I thought. She offered to discount room, but at the end there was no discount. They did comp our meal at Pelican brew, which would have not been first choice to eat at in PC. along with that we found 1 ply tissue in bathroom, no hair dryer, no light in hallway where the closet is and also the full length mirror. No paper towels in the coffee area for spills, I used the hand towels and wash cloths. There is no fan or window in the bathroom closet. The coffee supplies were low, coffee awful. No coffee in lobby or continental breakfast, which you would expect at $ 530 a night. You have to go to there coffee shop and bakery and fork out more bucks. They had really cute water bottles in the frig, they were $10 if you wanted to buy. They had me pay for it. No note was made when the reservation was made regarding the occasion. Complete failure of staff. These are the little things I would expect at a small Inn. Last, because we were put in the very last room, with no wind barrier to our right. all the other rooms have privacy barriers which in turn are wind barriers. Not the end room, 318. the wind blew through it, it was freezing on that balcony. Thank you Cape Kiwanda for making us feel last. Especially because of occasion. We are full time residents of PC. We care give full time for a family member. When our other family come town, I wont recommend this establishment.

The staff was very friendly and the beds were comfortable, but the rooms themselves were a disappointment. Based on the website photos, I was expecting a much nicer property. If I had it to do over, I would stay at The Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa across the street (owned by the same company) if you are looking for a more elevated experience. The Tidepools Spa (again - at the Headlands Costal Lodge across the street) was absolutely phenomenal, though and I would highly recommend booking a massage there as well as eating at The Meridian restaurant.

New rooms were very nice, and access was easy. The order from Stimulus was tasty. Also, lunch at the Headlands was very enjoyable with good food and views,
