Also now called Harts Camp. The best part was location to Beach. Right across the street and very easy to get to and the beach was beautiful. The worst part was the actual RV campground. We had a pull through and the trees scraped the side of our trailer because the site was very narrow. The actual worst part though, was the sewers are actually placed right next to your neighbors picnic table. My husband dumped everything on the day we left and the sewer was plugged. It exploded all over the grass and near the table, ( luckily our neighbors were not eating there at the time). Took a while for maintenance to come to unplug it. They said that it had been happening a few times. So needless to say it took us a while to check out and get back on the road. The back in spots seemed a little wider and nicer, but they also had the sewer hook up placed next to your neighbors picnic table. Ick The maintenance person that unplugged it was very nice and professional. He explained that they had new owners and hopefully in a couple of years there was talk about revamping the whole campground. Let’s hope they do.

We stayed one night at Hart's Camp (Oct 4th). It is located across from the Pelican Brewery which is great. Other than that, the park is the worst that we stayed in on our trip. Small spaces, crowded, not clean, poor restroom facilities, difficult electrical hookup, and priced the highest of any place we stayed. I would advise avoiding this park if possible.

This review is based on previous stays and current dealings with the Cape Kiwanda RV Resort and Marketplace. We have stayed at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort and Marketplace for several years during the same week each year. We always overlooked the subpar facilities and high prices because we were attending a special event - and because of the location close to the beach. We had reservations and a confirmation for this year again for 5 consecutive nights during a special event for us. I had heard rumors of a huge price increase from other people, but had not heard from the RV Resort yet. I called them and asked about the supposed price increase. I talked to one person who at first said they would honor the price given to me in the confirmation. Then I heard voices in the background and she corrected herself to say that there would be a price increase from the quoted and confirmed $70 equal to $115 a night on our reservation. That would be $45 a night or a total of $225 more for our 5 night stay! She offered to let me speak with the manager, who confirmed the price increase. The manager would not budge on the price increase even though I pointed out the reviews on this page and that Cape Kiwanda RV Resort and Marketplace had offered to honor the price to other users and this left us no time to make other replacement plans, so needless to say, we cancelled our reservation and will not be going back. I have never heard of an RV park charging $115 (plus tax?) for a night, let alone for subpar facilities and service (Pavement in disrepair with potholes and loose gravel all over, poor customer service, closed swimming pool, overflowing garbage cans, closed restaurant). In my opinion, the only thing Cape Kiwanda RV Resort and Marketplace has going for it is the beautiful Oregon Coast near it. The manager told me they reserved the right to raise the price - I could understand a reasonable rate increase, but not 64%. Be wary of making reservations for this place, they don't honor them. Enjoy the beach because you probably will find lots to complain about the facilities and service at this RV park.

Although I have stayed here for years, I will never return to this terrible place. The new owners attempted to pull a bait and switch by telling me (by email) 5 days before my trip that the price was now increased by $103 per night. After calling and being told that the new owners were indeed not kidding about this price increase, and that they would not drop this price, we cancelled our reservation. It did take awhile to get through on the phone, since other customers were also calling them. I assume they were cancelling as well.

I have had my reservations for months for spring break next week. I just received a email that our rate has increased an additional 112 dollars for four nights. How can you change your rates once you book. Now they will not answer their phone. Imagine that. I am canceling and will never stay again. Plus, as of last week their pool still didn’t have a heater and they closed the pizza shop next door. This place is not worth 75 a night to park my trailer. The new owners are going to ruin this place. Guess we will have our memories of what once was a go to for spring break.

We were very pleased to stay in such a well kept camp ground. We had a 5th wheel. Laundry room was very clean and the grounds were maintained very well. The ocean is just across the street and you had easy access to it. We had a pull though sight but the back in sights were nice by the playground too. The convenience of having the small store on sight was also handy! I would stay here again when in the area.

We have been camping at this place for years. It had always been a nice and quiet in the evening when we were turning in for the night. We did not camp there during Covid. We were excited to return to Pacific City this summer and stay at our usual spot at Cape Kiwanda. While we understand that weekend campers sometimes get a little loud and sometimes like to party, at this place we’d never had a problem with campers respecting quiet hours, until now. We learned that the place was under new ownership and people were saying things had changed. The camp host was somewhere in the back and also partying over the weekend. 🤨. Too noisy after quiet hours. We will ONLY camp here Sunday thru Wednesday. Side note: the gift shop clothing section of the marketplace was also a lot different. Not as good as before.

We enjoyed our stay. The RV campground was clean and convenient. The beach/ocean was right across the street which was very convenient. We enjoyed having the Pelican pub and a coffee shop to walk to as well. We will definitely be back.

Great experience. Great staff and real nice park. Would love to come during summer but they book really fast for those months. Spots are big and clean with a nice little fire pit that’s going when you really want it.
