Antico Sipario Boutique Hotel, BW Signature Collection is a new boutique hotel restored from an old medieval building in the centre of the historic village of Paciano. It is located just a few kilometres from Lake Trasimeno, on the border between Umbria and Tuscany.The building was a cultural centre and small theatre throughout the last century and now is a venue in which art and the theatre, in particular, play the role of a protagonist. Both the communal areas and the rooms are dedicated to the concept of ‘Theatre’ as defined in all its different expressions. All eight rooms with oak parquet flooring and exposed beams are different and yet meticulously designed down to the last detail. They all have wonderful views of the village or across the Umbrian-Tuscan countryside.There are no headboards for the beds but an entire wall that has been decorated with subjects or themes of a theatrical nature. The wonderful new beds have been chosen to guarantee guests a blissful night’s sleep. The bathrooms have been fitted out with great regard for comfort and spaciousness. Some rooms are equipped with a large shower and others with a whirlpool tub. We are respectful of the environment and sustainability through the use of olive oil-based detergents that are free of parabens.We wanted to facilitate access to all the communal areas such as the garden, the internal cloister that is lit up by sunlight and looks out over the walkways of the two floors, the conference room which has been created out of the former theatre, and most of all, the hall which has been turned into a reception room. There is a place for everyone here. Children can play on the multi-coloured carpet in the area that is designated for their use while guests can browse through the books in the well-stocked library. Not all the books are in Italian, some are in other languages.

Claudio è una persona splendida di una disponibilità unica! Ha risolto in un lampo anche una mia esigenza della quale (per mia dimenticanza) non avevo comunicato in anticipo...e poi vogliamo parlare delle tazze della colazione? L'ho trovata un'idea fantastica...non dico altro provate per vedere!

Abbiamo scelto questo posto quasi a caso perché volevamo passare in weekend lungo in Umbria e l’Antico Sipario ci sembrava carino e confortevole. Il soggiorno è stato molto meglio delle aspettative per tanti motivi. Si trova a Paciano, uno dei borghi più belli d’Italia, a meno di un minuto da un comodissimo parcheggio gratuito. La nostra camera, Commedia, ha un affaccio su un paesaggio meraviglioso quasi al confine tra Umbria e Toscana, gli arredi sono curatissimi, il bagno nuovo con una doccia spaziosa, infissi nuovi e funzionali e un magnifico silenzio; insomma, non dormivamo così bene da un po’. C’è una saletta all’ingresso con una ricca libreria che rende questo spazio comune molto accogliente e familiare. La colazione viene servita direttamente al tavolo e comprende frutta freschissima di stagione, yogurt, ciambelle, marmellate e pancake tutto a km 0 e tutto fatto in casa. Claudio, il direttore, è una persona speciale, di una disponibilità infinita e con un senso spiccatissimo dell’ospitalità e dell’accoglienza. Torneremo senza dubbi anche perché Paciano, sebbene sia un borgo piccolissimo, si trova in una buona posizione per raggiungere tanti posti meravigliosi.

Ci siamo trovati benissimo in questa bellissima struttura. Pulizia delle stanze impeccabile. Le stanze sono a tema dotate di ogni comfort. Il personale molto gentile e disponibile. La colazione per noi è stata un po' scarsa, niente salato, solo frutta e pancake freddi purtroppo da rivedere.

Antico Sipario is a gorgeous small hotel in a picturesque village. If you find yourself anywhere near Paciano, be sure to reserve your room here. Claudio, the owner, is so welcoming and makes sure you have very thing you need. The room was very comfortable, the views were stunning, and breakfast was delicious. I will absolutely stay here again!

Locale incantevole , confortevole dove si respira aria di storia .il proprietario è un giovane ragazzo che sa il fatto suo disponibile e molto premuroso.noi abbiamo soggiornato nella stanza teatro con una vista incredibile verso i monti circostanti , camera con doccia e vasca idromassaggio,calda pulita e molto raccolta.colazione con la scelta della tazza un idea molto carina e apprezzata .cosa dire di più? Noi ci torneremo sicuramente anche per il bellissimo borgo.voi che non ci siete stati non esitate a prenotare.

All’arrivo siamo stati accolti da Claudio, che ci ha dato dei brevi e suggestivi cenni storici sull’hotel, davvero interessanti! Le camere sono molto confortevoli: ben riscaldate, dotate di doppio cuscino (morbido e più duro), letto molto comodo, in dotazione anche il bollitore e tisane/the diversificati (che noi apprezziamo sempre). Abbiamo alloggiato una sola notte poiché il nostro era un viaggio itinerante, ma lo terremo sicuramente in considerazioni per eventuali prossime vacanze in zona :) Molto carini anche gli elementi d’arredo che sono posti sulle scale/corridoi.
