Tolle Lodge in traumhafter Lage. Lodgemanagement hat sich nach Diebstahl aus unserem Bungalow im Nachhinein sehr unprofessionell verhalten.

Es ist zwar nicht einfach zu erreichen, aber es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall. Die Anlage selbst ist schön gestaltet, der Ausblick auf den Landschaft und die umliegenden Erhebungen ist aber ganz besonders. Sehr zu empfehlen ist ein Abendessen im Eagle‘s Nest. Das Frühstück und das Abendessen ist aber auch zu empfehlen.

- tolle Lage, auch für kurze und längere Wanderungen - Parkplatz vor dem Häuschen - sehr freundliches, kommunikatives und lustiges Personal - großes Zimmer mit schöner Terrasse (Nr 7) - sehr sauber - neu renoviertes Bad - leckeres Abendessen und Frühstück in Buffetform - Sundowner im Eagle's Nest: Wir wollten eigentlich dorthin zum Abendessen, aber es waren zu wenig Anmeldungen. Im Nachhinein war das aber gut so, da wir uns unten im Hauptrestaurant absolut wohl gefühlt haben. Der Weg zum Eagle's Nest ist auch nachts gut beleuchtet und in ca. 15 Minuten machbar und der Ausblick ist einfach traumhaft. Würde ich hier noch einmal bleiben? Sofort! Wir waren die Nacht vorher in der Ugab Terrace Lodge, die im Vergleich zur Vingerklip in allem ganz schlecht abschneidet.

A stunning location, in an area reminiscent of Monument Valley in the US. The lodges, main building, pool and Eagle's Nest cliff-top restaurant were all excellent. We walked to the nearby pinnacle, and on our final day we walked the other way round the site to a lovely viewpoint. Our room 5A was peaceful, the shower and wifi were good. This place is definitely worth a diversion to stay.

Erstklassige Lage, wenn auch etwas abseits der „Hauptrouten“, unbeschreiblicher Sonnenuntergang am Rim, erstklassige Unterkunft, Zimmer mit Aussicht!, Sonnenaufgang! erstklassige Verpflegung. bestes Oryx-Filet in Namibia, Besser geht kaum.

Wir (5 Personen) waren im März 2025 in der Vingerklip Lodge. Die Lage ist außergewöhnlich herrlich mit tollen Bungalows. Wir hatten ein Dinner im sogenannten Eagle's Nest reserviert, dass sich auf einem großen Felsen befindet, mit wunderschönem Weitblick. Leider mußte das Essen wegen schlechter Witterung abgesagt werden. Vom "normalen" Restaurant hat man aber ebenfalls einen herrlichen Weit- und Ausblick. Diese Lodge würde ich jederzeit wieder buchen und ist jedem zu empfehlen.

We stayed for one night in the Honeymoon Suite. Upon arrival we received a warm welcome at the reception and enjoyed a light lunch in the restaurant. Whilst waiting for checking (we arrived quite early) we went for a walk around the premises and a drive around the fenced off Vingerklip Area. Walking around the lodge I already noticed some areas are due for maintenance and a lot of empty glades were left at the pool area. Since we stayed in the honeymoon suite up on the mountain our luggage was dropped up to the suite for us in a lift whilst we were guided up the staircase by an employee. The fact our luggage had to be dropped up seemed to be rather an inconvenience. The honeymoon suite itself did not match the images online. It looked like a small refurbishment was done so the furniture itself looked nice however the overall suite wasn’t nicely renovated or clean, it rather looked in need of some fixing up. The private pool from the images did not exist anymore. It used to be a pool where you can go from the inside the suite part of the pool outside. This is now filled with stones. We had dinner up in the Eagles Nest. The outside terrance such as wooden planks are trip hazards in some places and also overdue some renewing and fixing. The food was very nice, we felt rushed through dinner tho as it closed straight after dinner. I guess to get guests down safely after food and drinks down the staircase. I would have been great to know about this in advance. The views from the Eagles Nest were stunning. Based on the overall experience I would consider to come back for the views and dinner experience however would not recommend the honeymoon suite experience as it’s absolutely not worth the money.
