The Century House Bed and Breakfast Ottawa

Good place if you like to walk to things. The B&B had been recently renovated. The host was friendly and helpful. And the B&B is about a 15 minute walk from the Parliament buildings and other attractions. It was great.

First visit to Ottawa This B & B is in a great location to access all the sights we wanted to enjoy. It is only a short walk to parliament hill. The house is newly renovated and very clean. The breakfasts were very tasty and healthy. The room was comfortable, although it is missing a comfortable chair to relax in. Would have been nice to have a space to sit and read for a bit. All in all a very good clean place to stay while visiting Ottawa

Found this place fairly easily and a good loaction for downtown Ottawa. Free parking is available in this quiet street. Entry is by keypad and instructions inside how to find your room, entry by keypad. Old fashioned room with en suite facilities. Comfy bed but could do with better bedside lighting for reading. Plenty of wardrobe space and tea/coffee facilities and fridge down stairs in a lounge area. Breakfast was unusual served to you with no choice. Overall not to bad.

We stayed two nights at The Century House, in room #1 at the front of the house. The room was spacious and the decor was lovely, with room for a desk in front of the window. The bathroom was tiny, which is to be expected in a house that is over 100 years old, and the water pressure in the shower is weak. However, the towels were lovely and thick, and the linens on the bed were very nice. I found the bed to be very comfy, but DH found it a bit soft. It is an easy walk into town, and it was great to be able to leave our car at the B&B. Vittorio was very helpful, giving directions on the safest way to walk into town, and warning us about all the construction (there is construction every where, including the parliament buildings)! Breakfast was tasty, with a frittata, hashbrown potatoes, toast and fruit. We left very early our second day, so missed out on breakfast #2. There is a coffee/tea station, and a frig with bottled water for guests to use.

Vittorio is a great host and makes you feel like coming home. The B&B is in outstanding good condition and very well taken care of. Everything is so clean! Breakfast is great and all homemade. Location is also perfect to discover Ottawa. Highly recommended!

Excellent location for a walking visit of Ottawa. The Host was very accommodating and the breakfast was superb and non-rushed. The room was comfortable although a bit small. Parking was off-street, lighted and safe. Thoroughly enjoyable and will return.
