Ottawa Stay Downtown Suites

So filthy. There was bodily fluid on a pillow case. Mould. Dirty kitchenware. Didn't have a properly stocked kitchen. They switched the addresses on us last min. Felt like a scam. Had sick kids with us and it felt horrible not being able to care for them in a clean place but it was a bad snowstorm so didn't feel safe leaving. Couldn't get photos because of caring for kids.

We booked Charlotte Suites- Downtown which changed its name in September 2024 to Ottawa Stay Downtown Suites We arrived, and the following morning, there was garbage all over the front walkway. The entryway, stairs and hallways stank (probably due to old and dirty carpeting) Stained chairs in the entryway 2nd floor unit (2): no heating in the back bedroom. The welcome folder said to call a central number to report problems. I did this. There was no answer, but the message said to text instead, and not to make repeated calls. I texted, and never heard back. The livingroom sofa was so stained we were not able to sit in the living room. There were many holes in the walls covered by plaster, but not painted. There was no dishtowel in the kitchen. The dishes in the cupboards were dirty and had to be washed before use. There were cobwebs throughout the apartment. There were mildew stains around the bathtub. Here's a list of things: Lack of space to put things in the bedroom with three beds, a work table and a chair. The sofa and armchair in the living room were very dirty No heating in the bathroom A foul smell in the stairs and passageways
