wonderful tranquility
Very quiet family hotel, especially popular with tour operators with bus trips. Our triple room was spacious and comfortable with a good bathroom. The breakfast was unfortunately the worst of our holiday. Beautiful surroundings including the water mills at the mouth of the river Gacka and the Sjeverni Velebit National Park. But this area is not yet really opened up for tourism. That also has advantages, such as the wonderful tranquility.

Personnel très gentil et accueillant, m'a enregistré en avance, j'ai pu prendre mon repas du midi. L'hôtel est super en lui même, je le recommande pour les voyages d'étapes, ou pour se restaurer. la partie restaurant est géniale et on y mange très bien pour pas cher du tout.
Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et varié.

Terrible welcome by an aggressive person at the front desk, arguing that arriving before 3:00 PM was too early for check-in. Once finally in the room late in the afternoon, we found it too hot. The air conditioner read over 28°C and had a lock symbol, indicating it was locked. Back at the front desk to ask if we could have a cooler temperature for the night, the new receptionist was just as unpleasant as the first, stating that the temperature is the same for everyone and she didn’t understand the problem. A hot night is ahead, with a noisy and ineffective air conditioning unit that we can’t even turn off. Fortunately, this will be our only night; we’re leaving first thing tomorrow. Cheap old furniture in the room, clean but common. Never been in an hotel with such rude staff.

Een verschrikkelijk hotel. In heel het hotel hangt verlichting wat zo fel is dat je er een stadion mee kan verlichten. De douche kop kon je niet ophangen en de douchebak stond met een minuut vol met water en liep niet meer weg. Op het bed lag een dun laken met een dekentje. Het was erg koud in de kamer omdat de airco niet zelf te bedienen was. Als je rustig wil slapen, kom je bedrogen uit zo enorm gehorig is het en heb je geen last van buren dan hoor je in de nacht de hotel honden wel blaffen. Er zijn wetten en regels voor het niet mogen afgeven van je paspoort, in dit hotel hebben ze daar geen boodschap aan. Je bent verplicht je paspoort zonder afdekking af te geven en deze wordt gelijk ingescanned.

Hotel Mirni Kutak in het stadje Otočac is een zeer rustig gelegen familiehotel. Het hotel ligt aan de rand van het stadje in een woonwijk met uitzicht op landbouw, natuur en bergen. De kamers verschillen wel van grootte . Wij kregen een gratis upgrade naar een ruime driepersoonskamer met een kledingkast, een bureau en een grote badkamer. Alles was schoon. Helaas was het ontbijt duidelijk het slechtste dat wij tijdens onze rondreis door Kroatië hebben meegemaakt. Gelukkig waren er cottage cheese en jam bij het ontbijtbuffet, dat was mijn redding. 's Avonds hebben wij hier niet gegeten. Tijdens 2 nachten in dit hotel waren wij de enige individuele gasten in dit hotel. Voor de rest waren hier alleen busreizigers. De omgeving van Otočac is door toeristen nog nauwelijks ontdekt terwijl het een heel mooi gebied is. Wij kwamen hier voor het «Sjeverni Velebit National Park». Maar ook de watermolens bij de bron van de rivier Gacka zijn een bezoek waard.
