Amazing view! Best view in town. Huge room. Can fit 8 people. One queen room and another room with bunk bed double。sofa bed outside. Hot water was fixed in the morning

I sure wish I had done a better review search before booking this hotel! We were on the road with limited service and since I had an IHG membership I made an "assumption" that it would be up to the usual standards! WRONG! This hotel is seriously in bad shape among other things. Beds good..nothing else good. TV couldn't be used as remote didn't work. Yes..we could have gone up to the desk but they were seriously busy and we were exhausted..so gave up! There was a mystery panel on the main wall and it had all the electric breakers hiding behind it. No safe, no Kleenex, shower floor was a death trap! So slippery (from products or?) that you must put one of your towels down to prevent falling! You should see what your closet rack is like and they brought in a home depot type drawer. One chair (office) The restaurant..well it was closed to private function so no chance of food either. The guy who checked us in was fine, the room staff told us "I'm sorry about Kleenex etc. but we don't have any supplies". The price for this hotel was much higher than the coast next door btw..we stayed in one the next night and it was GREAT! So...after this experience I will probably never trust a IHG again. Oh..a bird s*** on the windows. Might be unavoidable but yuck.

Let me preface this review with my family (and 4 other childhood friends/families) have been coming to this hotel every summer since 2014 (minus COVID) and we have great family memories there. That being said.....the hotel has definitely gone downhill. Usually we go there and it's fine(ish). This year we took more of an indirect route home as we were attending a wedding in Calgary after, and this was when the glaring differences in services and amenities became apparent. The hotel has a deceivingly nice and clean lobby, but once you get the the hallways you see that they are dimly lit and no windows at the ends of the hallway (minor issues). The room itself has a general presentation of a standard room, but it's the details that show after that are the concerns. Here's my list 1. Outdated kitchen. 2. Cutlery was still dirty. 3. Toaster didn't work. 4. Microwave was dirty inside. 5. Pot had remnants of something similar to dried wall putty. 6. 2nd bedroom had a rickety metal bunk bed with jagged edges (snagged our bathing suits). 7. Bathroom had peeling and bubbling wall paper, and worse sections above the shower. 8. Door to the bathroom doesn't open all the wall, about 70 degrees as the vurver shower curtain prevents it from going further. 9. Toilet is non standard and very small (tiny), and wobbly. 10. Front door was difficult to lock, and didn't close properly (always makes sure to double pull the door to make sure it latched). 11 Back door had a trick handle, it would only open if you twisted it up, versus down like normal (minor issue, inadvertent safety feature if you have small kid(s) like I do. 12. Because the rooms have kitchenettes, at night there were rooms propping doors open while cooking, filling hallways and common areas with a cacophony of random smells. 13. The pool and hot tub, may or may not have caused rashes and other skin ailments (TBD) but it was closed suddenly after an inspector failed it on Wednesday (July 16th 2025). Pool still not open as of Thursday when we were scheduled to check out. 14. BBQs (x3) are all cheap rickety units that literally fell over in the slightest breeze, and either had non working burners, or missing parts. The bottom of ours fell out as we were using it one night. Other minor thing that would be up to individuals like small scratchy towels or soaps and sponges for dishes, paper towels in the room etc are minor and inconsequential in my eyes (not my wife's....) so whatever.... Overall we love the property and the area, Nesters grocery store and the liquor store are in the same parking lot, Roberto's Gelato, and the Bakery are our favorite places. But I find it very difficult to justify $2771.50 for 6 nights, or $12,000 between 4 families (2 families stayed additional nights) for the current state of a once beautiful property.
