My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Ryokan Chaume. This family run Ryokan made us feel at home. The manager drove us to and from a terrific onsen nearby and afterwards we were served a delicious multi-course dinner. The drink list was excellent too. After a tasty Japanese style breakfast we needed help making an onward reservation, so the manager made several calls on our behalf and found us a place that had a last minute cancellation. I would recommend the Ryokan Chaume to anyone looking for a high quality inn.

It is a hotel near the town preservation district, about 15 minutes walk from the station. 1F has a laundry area and a souvenir shop (small but beside the front desk), which seemed to be for both tourists and business guests.
