This is a very old hotel. The hotel is a bit old, but the advantage is that the room is large and the hotel is good. The only drawback is that there is no elevator on the second floor. However, the overall stay experience is still good. It is the best choice for family travel and the facilities are hygienic. Very good too!

We booked our wedding here at the Orton Hall. From start to finish we have had the best experience. All staff involved in our wedding and all those on shift whilst we stayed were absolutely amazing. So friendly and very attentive. Couldn’t have asked for a better day! The food was amazing and the stay in general was second to none. Highly recommended

Orton hall ou Mordor hall ?? Ma famille et moi avons été très déçu par l’hôtel Orton hall car du à son nombre d’étoiles je m’attendais à un hôtel assez confortable et convivial. J’ai aussi osé espérer un accueil digne de ce nom. Toutefois, quelle ne fut pas ma surprise quand l’on m’a répondu sèchement et avec condescendance que les enfants étaient interdits à la piscine après une certaine heure quand nous voulions passer un moment de détente à une heure où la piscine et le spa étaient vide !! De plus on ne m’a donné aucune explication. C’est un hôtel où les enfants ne sont pas désirés. Un autre point vraiment perturbant c’est que durant les deux petits jours passés sur place, j’ai reçu plus d’interdictions et de règles que d’aide, de réponses aux questions et de politesse du personnel. On dirait vraiment que cet hôtel est un centre pour personnes âgées ou pour retraités. On y à toujours quelqu’un sur le dos et quand on a besoin d’aide plus personne !! Malgré le confort des chambres, le petit déjeuner correct et la piscine bien équipée, je déconseille l’hôtel Orton hall.

1/5 It wasn’t terrible but definitely outdated and not worth the price. I also am covered on my back and bum in bed bug bites. I originally thought these were mosquito bites but they’re everywhere and clustered- like bed bug bites, they also only appeared on my back and bum area.

I’ve stayed here a few times as the location is great a few comments - no lift so don’t book here if you have any mobility issues - the food is overpriced and not very good never has been so eat elsewhere- rooms are looking a bit dated now and probably need a refresh but clean and functional- check there isn’t a wedding on when you’re staying as it will be noisy - never had an issue parking on site for free

We booked a last minute overnight stay at this hotel primarily as the building looked beautiful and at £140 including breakfast the cost compared favourably with other local hotels. We didn’t use the spa or pool but did eat at the inn on the site. We thought that the house burgers were quite tasty. Our hotel room was spacious, particularly as we were allocated a family room. The bed was really comfortable but the bathroom was quite tired and in need of updating. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful with great coffee. Overall, we felt that our visit was good value for money and would stay again, even though some elements of the hotel could be improved.

Lovely building but dreadful staff. Couldn't care less about visitors. Bathroom door jammed at 11pm. No help available so had to take my disabled partner down the corridor to public toilet in middle of the night. Finally came to repair at 6.40am!! No recompense or apology. Would never stay again
