We stayed in Nana’s House which is a cosy three bedroom house. It’s so quaint and felt like Nanna had just popped out. We had continental breakfast provisions provided which was great. The fire, with wood provided, was a great addition although there is other heating throughout the house. Susan was most accommodating and left clear instructions for entry.

This place soothed my soul. Wonderful cosy homely feeling cottage with a nice verandah overlooking the fields and the afternoon sun hits it just right. Woodburner was already set up just needed lighting. Host was friendly and helpful. Beds were comfy. Kitchen had breakfast options supplied. We only stayed one night as we were passing though but I so wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely return.

Orroroo is a pleasant town for a night or two’s stopover and the Black Jack Get-A-Way cabins are really comfortable places to stay. The cabins look like they were built in the late 1960s from a prefabricated design and are really 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom houses. As such, they have a real 1960s vibe in their fittings and furnishings. Whilst they may appear dated, the cabins are perfectly functional, clean and comfortable. In fact, they are so well equipped you could easily move in and live there. Sufficient provisions are left for guests to make a substantial continental breakfast and other facilities such as a washing machine are appreciated. Whilst all contact with Susan was by email or text, she was responsive, timely and helpful in her responses. Certainly I would recommend these cabins for short or longer term accommodation in Orroroo.

After being on the road for 2weeks we needed a bed and shower. And the Kangaroo Cottage was just what we were looking for. Nice and cosy. Wood fire worked a treat on the cold night and the host was very easy to contact and talk to. Thanks for sharing your cosy cottage.
