Camaray Motel

This is a good basic motel. The room was clean and very quiet at night. The manageress was very helpful if one needed help with anything ie: the TV.

Good budget motel. Clean, nice rooms. The staff is very friendly, helpful and kind. The manager, Celeste, was very courteous. Food in town is scarce: there's a nice Mexican restaurant right across the street, but there is not a breakfast place in town

I resided at the hotel from April to July. Which was a blessing until I could find permanent housing. The manager really needs to work on her customer service skills. The way she words things are at times just plain rude. In the last month before I moved, I had to pay her a partial payment and the rest on the 7th for that month. She said don't you still owe $. And I said No I paid it on the 7th. I have the receipts showing I paid it. She said ok. So a week and a half passes and she said you never paid the last of what you owed. But I'm going to let it slide this time. I said excuse me yes I did. I have the receipts showing I paid it in full. So I bring the receipts to the office and she shows me on the computer screen that I still owe it. I said well I have these receipts which show I paid the full amount. She then goes on to tell me well those receipts don't matter what matters is what my screen says here so this is what I go by. So I argued with her saying that's ridiculous. I was upset because I know what I paid her and I had the receipts to prove it. She then says I don't know why your making a big deal out of it when I said I would let it slide. I said I'm upset because I work hard for my money and I know I paid you and I have the receipts to prove it. She goes on to tell me that she wouldn't lie and that the other gal that takes her place when she is gone wouldn't lie either. I do not understand how the receipts would not matter that show what a person pays. I said I'm not lying either and your accusing me of being dishonest and you have no reason to. I said I will be paying you with a money order next time. She said No I want cash. I use the cash to pay the housekeepers. I said well then I want a hand written receipt next time. She then acts like she's writing big letters with her finger on the counter as she's being sarcastic and rude. Totally unprofessional and very rude. Her behavior was totally uncalled for. The long term stay customers obviously have current issues going on. There is homeless people,even a person with a shopping cart, coming and going on a regular basis. If I am ever in need of a hotel again, I will definitely stay in Tonasket.

This was my 3rd stay at the Camaray. As before, I had a wonderful experience. The room was clean & very comfortable. I felt safe & secure. Even though it was the 4th of July holiday celebration, it was not noisy. The managers are great & available. The pool was just what I needed, sparkling clean, relaxing & they have pool towels too. Oroville is a lovely place to visit & the Camaray is the place to stay. I know I’ll be coming back again.

Yes, this hotel is older, but it is very well-kept & clean, cleaner than many newer we've stayed in! Pool cleaning, parking & garden areas were all being tended to each dat. Exceptionally friendly staff! Pets allowed & with dogs in several rooms, we were prepared for noise. Yet there was absolutely none. Not even door slamming & loud voices usually heard in the halls of chain hotels. They have a set of guest rules & people are happy to comply, I believe because the staff is so good to guests!

This is a good place to stay. The exterior is misleading - the rooms are modern and updated, very nice, clean, and spacious inside. The bathroom is big with double sinks. A good Mexican restaurant across the street and a supermarket a block away. Quiet.
