Spark by Hilton Ormond Beach Oceanfront

Hotel was nice and clean. Staff was super friendly!! A++ Onlt drawback was that we paid extra for Oceanview and our room was in the side so we saw a SLIVER of the ocean from our balcony. Not ocean front at all. The pool was ice cold- but I suppose that’s to be expected this time of year. Overall would stay again but not play for oceanview.

If you love the water you will love Daytona that's all I have to say.

We did not have any issues with the room except the balcony had no privacy. You clearly see your neighbors if they are out on their balcony. So for that we more than likely will not return. You can't control who is out on their balcony or when but I would like some privacy and not to have people I do not know all up in my face. Breakfast was nice with good variety.

The manager was very rude and unprofessional She cussed me out in front of all of the customers that were outside also kicked me and my 2 year old and my husband out of our room in the middle of the night with no reason why the hotel itself is very dirty and very cheaply made the shower shelf literally fell off the wall while my child was in the bath causing glass shards to be everywhere the breakfast is terrible and parking is HORRIBLE

Exterior and common areas need lots of work. Very run down look. Rooms were clean but could use work as well (ex. Mold around bathroom windows ect, yes, it had a small frosted window in bathroom) . No daily housekeeping or room refresh was very disappointing. Definitely does NOT meet the typical standard you might expect under the Hilton brand. Nice pool right off the beach. Solid wi-fi.

THE PROPERTY: Fantastic location right on the beach. The exterior is in need of fresh paint in some areas and some general renewal. It appears they are working on that now. Parking can be a problem and the front desk has no solutions when the two lots fill up. I believe they could do more to ensure there are enough spaces. We ended up in a striped safety zone which the front desk person approved. THE ROOM: We had an oceanview room with a small balcony and the view of the ocean was marvelous. Everything worked and was clean. The carpet was nice. The door opens to an outdoor walkway, not an indoor corrider which is typical of beachfront properties. The walkway is textured so that when someone pulls their suitcase along the sound resonates into your room. We also could hear people above and next to us some of the time. The room was very nice and up to date. ROOM TIP: The first floor oceanview rooms have sliding glass doors that open directly onto a small pation right on the pool deck. The steps down to the beach are right there on the deck. Families with children may want to consider this option for ease of access to your room from the pool and beach. BREAKFAST: As the website says, it is not a full breakfast but there is more than bagels. There is also yogurt, fruit, oatmeal, and cereal. The breakfast area is roomy and even though it was busy, we never felt cramped. THE STAFF: Everyone we encountered was professional and friendly. The light bulb in our bathroom went out and a maintenance person was there withing minutes apologizing and had it replaced in short order. VALUE: The price was probably fair as it was priced a little below some other properties in the area. This may be due to the painting and refreshing underway so it's a good value right now. We would go there again in hopes they will complete some upgrades and refurbishment. OVERALL: We enjoyed a lovely weekend here basking in the sun and sea. We were comfortable in our room even if we did have to deal with a little noise.
