Dear Marriott Customer Service,
I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay at the Marriott. Unfortunately, my experience did not meet the standards I have come to expect from Marriott, and I felt compelled to bring these issues to your attention.
Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that the hotel appeared outdated, and the check-in counter area was extremely hot, making it uncomfortable right from the start. These initial impressions were disheartening, but I was unable to obtain a refund when I inquired, so I chose to stay for the duration of my five-day reservation.
During my stay, the issues persisted, and overall, the experience was disappointing. As a loyal customer who has always appreciated Marriott’s reputation for quality, this particular experience did not live up to my expectations.
I kindly request that you review this matter and consider offering some form of compensation or resolution for the discomfort and inconvenience I experienced. I hope that this feedback can help improve future stays for other guests.

You get what you pay for. I won't be staying here again. Pictures make it look a like nicer than it is. This is an older hotel. My shower curtain rod was coming out of the wall and the room smelled musty. I sprayed my cologne into the a/c unit to help. Bathroom tile was cracked in place. But if you're looking for a cheap hotel rate, this is your place.

As loyal Bonvoy members traveling cross-country during a move, we booked two nights well in advance. Upon arrival, we learned our reservation had been canceled without notice—apparently because the property attempted to charge our card without consent and failed. The room conditions were unacceptable: foul smells, rusted fixtures, mold, and furniture hazards. Even the replacement room posed issues—locked from inside initially (!), and then just as poorly maintained. Breakfast was barely edible, and the entire experience felt like a franchise failing to represent Marriott’s promise. We would not recommend this property to anyone expecting even basic quality. We urge Marriott to take a serious look at how this location is being managed.

Got a room at a great rate (lowest cost Marriott branded hotel in the Jacksonville area) for a couple of nights. The furnishings were dated but the bed was okay. The sheets and towels were clean. Breakfast bar was good with fresh fruits (tangerines and bananas). About 20 min drive to downtown. Close to Costco and Costco gas. Didn't get acknowledged or get special treatment for being a Bonvoy member. Still good given the rate we got.

I was really disappointed with my stay. First off, the hotel is noticeably outdated—furnishings, carpets, and general decor are all in need of a refresh. But what really bothered me was the lack of transparency about housekeeping. I was only informed after check-in that housekeeping is only offered every other day. This policy wasn’t mentioned on their website, in the booking confirmation, or even posted in the room or lobby. When you’re paying full price, you expect full service—or at the very least, honest communication. I would’ve appreciated being informed ahead of time so I could have made an informed decision. Overall, not worth the price for the experience provided.

This is a dump. The front desk told the repairman our room is flooding and he showed up with a plunger when I actually just asked the flashing lightbulb in the restroom to be changed. Front desk told me they don’t really do Gold/Platinum status upgrades here. The whole place is a disgrace to the Marriott brand.

Firty place
The only good thing was the service from the cuban lady at the breakfast Jeaneally.Excellent hard worker,very attentive. The place a mess ,pool dirty no lights at the pool deck ,no jacuzzi spa at all, no shampoo,no bath gel, dirty towels.Very dissapointed,carpet taer at the room ,everything old,lamps ,air filter firty,restrooms needs renovation ,air conditioner makes noise. Not coming back ever.

I will reiterate the last few reviews. I would never stay here again in its current condition!! It needs a renovation now or to be unbranded by Marriott. Outside security door broken or always propped open over several weeks, mildew smell all over, breakfast is super limited and looks like 89’s decor inside. Staff was nice though. Stay at the COURTYARD across the street instead!!!

First, we forgot that we stayed here last year on our way to the Gulf coast and had to talk to mgmt and show the pic of the cockroach running in the room and a slight musty smell. Not “palmetto bug”. Roach. This time the room stank. Never felt the need in a Marriott before, but I checked the mattress for bedbugs. Thankfully it was clear. However, the mattress pad was yellowed and thread bare, the mattress was very stained. Also first time we have both awoke with backaches. The mattress and pillows were pathetic. Sure, it’s more economical than Courtyard or other nearby chains. The reason seems to be because it is totally needing new furnishings and a good cleaning! Should have read recent reviews here before we booked. Never going back.
