The pub areas have been done up really nice, it's a beautiful building. But the rooms need a lot of work. Especially the bathroom, flaking paint, holes in the wall where old plumbing pipes once were. Couldn't stay any more than 1 night. Also would have loved to eat there but no listed vegan options.

I booked for 3 night over Easter to attend a function in Millthorpe. When I entered my room it had an overpowering smell of smoke fumes, and on closer inspection I discovered this was coming from the courtyard which the room faced. An open pit fire was burning in the courtyard. With the window open it was worse, so I slept all night with the AC on, despite being a cool evening. The smoke and fumes were insufferable, for an asthmatic it would have been extremely dangerous. I approach reception and asked for a different room and was told none were available. There was also doof doof music that went till very late. I suffered 1 night and left, wasting 2 nights I had paid for. Never again.

Great old Art Deco Hotel, good rooms. Great pub with really good meals. Highly recommend for a stopover.

Great spot to launch a good night out in Orange. Room was dated but it's an old pub. Lets call it old world charm.
