Phoenix X 206 - 3 Br Condo by RedAwning

Phoenix X 307 is not suitable for more than 1 couple. Beds and bathroom too small for grownups. Might work for kids but shower that 2 bedrooms shares is about like a camper shower you cannot get in and out of door because too close to wall. Rooms are hot and beds are small . Very disappointed in 2 guest bedrooms and bath

We just spent 5 nights in unit 1114. We love staying here. It is a very well equipped unit. The sheets were amazing. Christa has added a walk-in shower which is helpful for us “old” ladies. We had a couple of rainy days but that didn’t put a damper on our trip. Any day on the beach is a great day. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony and listening to the waves.

We stayed at Phoenix X unit 1517. The place was filthy.dirty utensils in kitchen, garbage disposal was unusable and stunk.Keurig coffee make was broke. HVAC unit was not working, we had to sleep in our coats because of a cold spell we had for 5 or 6 days. Tub in one bathroom had no hot water because it leaked down into un it below….the furniture was shabby and not one hook in bedrooms or bathrooms for clothes or towels…there’s more but I think I’ve made the point…

We’ve had a broken appliance for 4 days & they haven’t sent a repairman. It is marketed as family friendly, but the pool has been filled with intoxicated adults, extreme profanity & near fights daily. When I complained at the front desk about the profanity, I was told that they would not do anything about it. It’s not against their rules. The woman at the front desk actually admitted they had had complaints all summer about the activity in the pool, but they would not do anything about it.

We tried this unit (1506) at Phoenix X because of the location. We stayed at Phoenix IX previously and had a wonderful stay at a beautiful unit there. Not all units are created equal. The view was amazing; however, the unit in Phoenix X itself was not as desirable as imagined. There were several things that disappointed. The first was that I had to scrape someone else’s dried food off the refrigerator door handles when we arrived. The faucet in the tub in the second bathroom was very old and difficult to operate. There was no stopper, and the drain was open, rusted, and looked dirty. Our granddaughter found a curling iron on the floor underneath the small table in that bathroom. That told me the floor had not been cleaned properly because the table is quite small and easily moved in order to clean the floor. The shower in the master bathroom had mold virtually everywhere. The furniture on the balcony was definitely not as pictured. The legs of the table and chairs were quite rusted, and the floor of the balcony needed a good cleaning. When I pulled the trash bag out of the garbage can in the kitchen the first time, I realized the garbage can was filthy. It had clearly not been cleaned in quite a while. Some pans in the kitchen should have been thrown away and replaced. I used foil on the pans to protect my food. There were no instructions for the televisions, and they were difficult to operate. We had to manually turn them off because the remote didn’t work properly. Several places in the condo needed maintenance. The dishwasher wouldn’t work right. Sometimes I could close the door to the dishwasher and sometimes not. It would seem like it started, and then would just stop. I had to figure out how to start it again after struggling with the door. I have owned a condo before, and I realize the work associated with the maintenance of a unit. But it is necessary. I cannot recommend staying at unit 1506 at Phoenix X based on our experience there. This condo is not operated by Brett Robinson, as are many of them, and parking is an extra charge. We rented from Phoenix Vacation Properties. I tried to post a review there, and it was never published.

We have stayed here twice. This May 2022 and May 2021. We stay in Unit 1211 (VRBO). The condo is great for a family of 6 (4 teens, 2 parents) or 8 if you have smaller kids. It was remodeled in 2021 I believe. The pool area was also completely new in 2021, due to hurricane damage. Excellent beach access, excellent views. The only reason I give it a 4, is that some areas of the main building could use a little TLC but not bad at all. I’m a little picky. If you want to go to Flora-Bama, you can’t get any closer than this condo building. Some people complain about it being loud at times, but we’ve never experienced that in 2 years.
