I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. As a single mother traveling with special needs children, I hoped for a comfortable and hassle-free stay, but that was not the case. The room had a strong smell of urine upon arrival, which was very upsetting. Despite the efforts to address it, the maintenance staff sprayed a powerful air freshener, but it only made us cough for the next hour and didn’t eliminate the odor. I wasn’t expecting something like this to happen at a Hilton chain. Additionally, the TV didn’t work initially, and accessing the WiFi was quite difficult. When I called the front desk, they sent a friendly maintenance technician down promptly. He was able to get the TV and WiFi working, which I appreciated, but the overall condition of the room left much to be desired. I hope the management takes steps to improve cleanliness and amenities, as these issues significantly affected our experience. Sadly, we won’t be staying here again based on this visit.

This was by far the worst hotel experience I've had. We stayed for 3 days just after Memorial Day, and check-in was delayed by over an hour. One elevator was out of service, causing long waits and forcing us to use the stairs. The room smelled like a restroom when we arrived, and the pool—unbelievably—was closed for cleaning during the busiest holiday weekend. Housekeeping isn’t automatic; it’s by request, which we weren’t told. We returned to an uncleaned room at 5:30 PM. Staff were cold and unhelpful, and breakfast isn’t included—you’ll have to pay for low-quality food. Do yourself a favor: skip this place and stay somewhere else.

The staff are amazing. Certainly enjoyed our beach trip this spring. Veronica, the front desk manager was kind, helpful and very accommodating as was everyone we encountered here during our stay. The pool was closed during renovations but it did not interfere with our time at the HGI. We will be back!

False advertisement! The pool has been under renovations since apparently October 2024, however the signs around the hotel say May 6-14. But fear not!! You can drive two miles down the street and use the holiday inn hotel. Insert eye roll. The hotel could use some serious updates, I guess it was “fine” at best. No pool towels, apparently guest steal them and it’s no longer offered. The main entrance to the beach is closed. You can walk a plastic grated path to the beach. Sort of like a dark alley. The rooms had a lot of cosmetic issues. Outlets pushed in, carpet corners ripping, poorly repaired cracks in the shower. Needs a lot of TLC. Let’s not get started on the beds. You can feel the springs. Each time you move you can hear the popping of the springs. I will say the shower was hot, and the a/c worked well. For one night it served its purpose, but wouldn’t stay here again. Ever…

The pool and hot tub were not available due to renovations, which was not known at time of booking. Room was still full price despite the unavailability. The parking was a nightmare. Not enough spaces, people parking wherever they could. The "breakfast buffet" was nothing more than a continental breakfast at any other hotel, which is charged at $18 per person.

The view was suppose to be beach front And u could barely see it. The pool was out bc of redoing it. Just a lot going on. Not very relaxing & very noisy!!
