Maslina Resort

The accommodations were lovely as is the overall resort; the dinner menu and food was not very good nor was the attitude of the Food & Beverage Director when a guest developed food poisoning eating dinner at the resort…we heard others also got ill.

Exquisite memorable stay from the moment we arrived, greeted by the friendly staff and offered complimentary refreshments while they took our luggage to our room. Everything about the property is gorgeous, the rooms that face the sunset, the pool, the restaurant and bar. The old town area of Stari Grad is walking distance and the vibe is much more peaceful and relaxing compared to Hvar old town. The complimentary breakfast is beautiful and delicious. Lastly, the staff was amazingly kind and anticipated our needs very well.

Wow, just wow! This is definitely a 5 star resort in the beautiful area of Starigrad, Hvar. From the minute we walked in to the moment we left the staff could not do enough. The hotel is well located with beautiful views from each room and from the pool and beach bar. It’s is a 5 minute walk from the port and a 30 minute walk from the town (the hotel provide a free shuttle service to/from the town also) The rooms are well appointed and spacious including luxurious furniture and local amenities. The spa is beautiful with a decent sized gym. Eco bikes were available to use also. The breakfast was a la carte and was delicious with a variety of choices. Pool side food was great also but would’ve liked a bit more choice. The most outstanding part of the hotel was the service. We can not thank Kristina enough for her outstanding intro to the hotel and Batu for his excellent recommendations not only within Starigrad but he helped us with contacts for our next destination also. We will definitely be returning!

If you are planning a stay on the island of Hvar, and you have luxury in mind, you absolutely must stay at the Maslina in Stari Grad- it is absolutely an oasis. My family just returned from a trip to Croatia (Dubrovnik, Hvar, and Split) and the Maslina was the best part of the entire trip. It is a gorgeous location, a bit removed from the hustle of Hvar, which we found ideal as dining in the quaint town of Stari Grad is a wonderful secret that avoids the crowds of Hvar. Beyond the luxury of this resort, the highlight is the service, and most notably, the star is Batu. He greeted my family upon our arrival, was available and attentive during our entire 3 day stay, and made the best recommendations for dining options. Truly, I cannot describe how wonderful Batu made our visit...he actually spoiled us for our later leg in Split! I cannot recommend this resort and praise Batu's attentiveness sufficiently, but suffice to say, this is a resort not to be missed when visiting the island of Hvar. You will not be disappointed.

We have just spent eight nights at Maslina Resort and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The hotel is of a stylish, contemporary design and has a lovely wide frontage creating a wonderful feeling of space. The rooms were well designed and kept immaculately clean, and our sea view was stunning. During our stay we ate in the hotel restaurant three nights and the food was well presented and delicious and the service was excellent. Breakfast (made to order, not a buffet arrangement … loved it) and lunch were also enjoyable and the service fabulous. Because we were at the hotel for over a week, we went into Starigrad for dinner several times and tried different restaurants, all of which we enjoyed and had been recommended by the incredibly helpful Guest Relations Manager, Batu. We hired a car and visited other parts of the island and, although I’m glad we visited Hvar town, we are pleased that we choose to stay at Maslina and nearby to Starigrad. We loved staying at this gorgeous boutique hotel (only about 50 rooms) and plan to return in the not too distant future. The staff were all fabulous (genuinely - every single one we came into contact with) and couldn’t have been more pleasant or helpful. Many thanks to Julie and Fernanda in the restaurant for being so helpful and efficient and cheerfully dealing with my teenage son turning up for breakfast five minutes before the last breakfast order, every day! Big thanks to the Chef and all the F&B team for the effort they made to ensure my vegetarian daughter was well catered for. And a huge thank you to Batu, Guest Relations Manager, who made sure every day that every single detail of our stay was perfect. Thank you Maslina for a lovely week - we will be back!

The Maslina property was gorgeous - true wellness vibe, delicious food, beautiful pools, heavenly room, secluded private beach - and was only topped by the phenomenal service by the entire staff, and led by the amazing Batu Cetiner (Guest Services Manager). While we (a group of two families/8 people total) were staying at Maslina, Batu checked in on us several times a day, got to know our food preferences, notified the restaurant of allergies, and made excellent recommendations (as well as arrangements) while we were in Hvar, as well as suggestions for other destinations on our trip. He personally saw to it that we had our needs met, whether that meant driving us himself on property or responding to our (many!) texts with numerous requests and questions. Beyond providing phenomenal service while we were there, Batu went way above and beyond after we left, when I realized I left some important items in our room. He went out of his way to make sure my items connected with me in my next port of our trip (including going to the harbor to put my items on a ferry heading to our next destination). He's a true gem and asset to any hotel property. We're so grateful we found this beautiful property, and can't wait to go back!

This place is just wonderful from the moment you arrive. We were greeted by Batu, who is utterly delightful and ensured our stay was going to be fantastic. Provided with a refreshing drink whilst our room was being prepared (we arrived very early) and given a quick tour. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, very tranquil and a perfect place to relax. Our room was fab-not a single thing to gripe about. The spa was amazing (according to my daughter and wife) and the restaurant food really delicious. Annakatarina was charming, and gave us a good lowdown on the things to around and about including the places to eat in Stari Grad. The staff are all amazing. We all just had the best time-one of the loveliest places I have ever visited! Thank you Maslina!
