Bluesun Hotel Berulia

The hotel is nicely located directly at the beach but not accessible for people with disability or have problems walking. It is a lot of stars up and down to the pool and beach. There is only elevators within the hotel to some of the floors. The hotel was clean, but most of the staff wasn't service minded for being a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was really nice but the dinner was just ok. This hotel will not fullfill your standard if you are used to 5 star hotels from US/Western Europe/Asia.

This is our 2nd visit to the Blue Sun Berulia - excellent hotel. Two fabulous pools, always loads of sun beds, views to die for (sea and side sea facing), mountain views from the other rooms. Close to Brela (fabulous coastal path) and Baska Voda in the other direction. Shingle beach, safe water, and rental of sun beds and parasols. Only one word of warning - there are lots of steps to get down to beach level. Good low key evening entertainment with many excellent local artists. AND MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL!! The staff here are fantastic - always friendly, helpful, and kind. Very special mention has to go to Jovana, and Nahid, Jelka, and also to Luka . These people made our stay so very enjoyable - thank you so much!

Well what can I say, honestly the best hotel I have ever been to. Very luxurious, amazing food, super clean and the most important thing... the staff. They are extremely helpful and kind. Nothing is too much trouble. However one member of staff in particular made our holiday. Luka, what a legend. He made our holiday very special. He is there to make sure everyone is having a good time and he does an incredible job at it. So thank you again Luka!

Just returned from a 12 day holiday at Bluesun hotel Berulia. What a wonderful place this is. We are a family of 4 with 2 daughters in their 20's. Had 2 x standard sea view rooms (321 & 322) overlooking the pool and beautiful sea view with dinner and breakfast. I am a little confused over some of the reviews on here. I think in a 5 star hotel you are always going to have people with unrealistic and unnecessary expectations and take it from me (and everyone else we met on this trip) that this hotel is absolutely perfect for singles, couples, families young and old. You are right on the sea front with steps down to the lovely promenade that meanders for a few miles either side of the hotel. The lovely pebbly, clean beaches are at the foot of the hotel which we visited and swam in each day. The food at the hotel is probably the nicest we have had overall (we have been to many hotels) and what we all loved is that EVERY person who worked at the hotel gives you a smile and says hello. The manager of the hotel is quite promenant and is there all the time, greeting people and helping his staff team. He and his team all seeming to love their jobs (I love that). Lovely atmosphere in this hotel and would thoroughly recommend. Definitely one to go back to. Noticed local cafes closing down from 1st October- but still a few dotted around that were open. Also, important to mention that the hotel allows you to wear smart shorts at dinner. This is always a must for my hubby as he wears shorts throughout the winter even in the UK. Lovely hotel, we stayed for a week and enjoyed our relaxing stay. We came at the end of the season, so the area was very quiet, but we lived that it wasn't so busy. Room was really clean so 10/10 for our amazin cleaner, couldn't do enough for us. We were half board, it gets busy at meal times so we went quite late, breakfast is 7am to 11am and dinner was 7pm until 9pm. Only gripe was food was cold, even fresh stuff thar was put out was like warm at best. Really enjoyed the fresh made to order omelette, amazing! We had bad rain 1 night and the restuarant was rammed, no seats available, they couldn't seem to keep up with demand. If you bring a car expect to be charged €8 per day and the carpark is very small, we often played carpark jenga trying to get our car out, cars just abandoned with some keys not left at reception which spoiled some of our plans as we were unable to get out. Top tip leave your car parked in the road, leave a note on your dashboard with your room number, and keys at reception, if you get a ticket the hotel pay it but they advised they rarely get tickets. As you go down ti the beach you can get inti baska voda to the left and it's about 10 mins. Or Brela ti the right again about 10 mins walk, some lovely restuarants both ways. Again we didn't know it was the end of the season so you noticed a difference after the 30th of September, a lot of places closed but we enjoyed it.

Brutally functional. Clean, modern and utterly charmless. No proper lounge area, just the reception lobby which seats about thirty people (the hotel holds hundreds of guests). Massage area looks like a clinical laboratory. Food is plentiful but mass manufactured and distinctly average. No garden or terrace seating area - I assume that you are expected to sit on the beach instead which is just outside. Restaurant Service is competent but unsmiling. Room servicing needs improvement. I would not stay here again or recommend it.

This hotel exceeded all expectations with its cozy, well-maintained rooms and friendly, heartfelt staff who made us feel right at home. The food was exceptional, offering a variety of fresh, local dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed. Located just a short walk from stunning beaches, it was perfect for relaxing by the sea. Additionally, the proximity to the Biokovo mountain made it easy for us to explore beautiful hiking trails. Whether for beach lovers or nature enthusiasts, this hotel is an ideal choice for a memorable vacation.
