Beach Villa Ratac

Location: The hotel boasts a stunning location by the sea, surrounded by pine forests, offering breathtaking views and a relaxing atmosphere.

If you can manage stairs, this is a magical place. We had the large apartment with 5 bedrooms and at least 3 bathrooms. Having a washing machine was welcome and timely for us. The villa units overlook the Adriatic on a quiet section of coastline. Wonderful! Note there are many many stairs to some units.

We are currently staying at Villa Ratac. We arrived on day one and our apartment didn't have electricity for hours. Finally we were allowed into our room, and the internet didn't work so we've had to use our data & get charged for all the extra, even though we were told there was WiFi. We were offered to walk down a level & use the weak WiFi from another apartment. That would have worked for one day, but we're on day 4 and we're STILL being told "my manager will come tomorrow to fix it." Our toilet doesn't flush! We only have hot water in our bathroom, so the toilet doesn't fill or flush. We fill a pot with water and pour it in the tank. 😑 This also means we can't take a shower. The bathroom light and fan don't work. The stove is a pain to get going and light, you have to be a safe cracker to get it to light. When it rained our apartment had water coming in by the front door,and across the entire kitchen floor. Seriously, this is just the issues with OUR apartment. We're staying with 28 friends. The other apartments have more issues, below are just the ones we know about so far. The door handle on an apartment front door fell off and friends had to climb out the window to leave their apartment. One apartment has a washer that flooded the place when they tried to run it. The rooms flooded during rain, and we had water pouring down the walls. Yes, it was "more rain than usual," but the rooms are very musty, so the leaks must happen with any amount rain. The tank water heaters weren't turned on in most of the apartments, so we had to turn those on ourselves. The main caretaker/maid/helper, "Violet" has done everything she can to try and fix our issues, but all of the problems are with the facilities and she isn't a maintenance person. Why am I paying for this $&'#? Please don't pay to come here. We have not been offered any discounts or compensation for all of the issues we've experienced. I will update this review when/if any part of this changes. I will let you all know if we ever see the manager.
