I loved this hotel: its charm, the location, the service. We booked two double rooms for our family of four for a two night stay. I didn’t know Opatija and I didn’t really have a sense of the hotel and its amenities from the information I could see on its website and on TA. I had high hopes but I wasn’t sure what to expect of the town or the hotel. We arrived, driving from Pula; and the drive was beautiful countryside followed by the coast road with stunning views down the cliff-side to the sea and islands and the little coastal towns. Like the west coast of Italy (in some places north and south in Italy) - beautiful. On arriving in Opatija, we zigzagged down to the town, where the old part of the town clusters near the sea front; beautiful , grand old villas and mature trees along the promenade. It is an attractive place. The Hotel Milenij was easy to find; it has a parking garage beneath the hotel, so parking was easy. The staff can also park for you. The welcome inside the hotel was friendly. We dropped our bags and went to find lunch. When we returned and got our rooms, they were lovely: elegant rooms, comfortable with very nice views. We enjoyed the breakfast: lovely dining room location and a good buffet offer, with excellent freshly made bread, cakes and also delicious anchovies (as well as the usual meat, cheese, jam, fruit, cereal). We really liked the hotel pool, garden with bar, and the sea being just steps away. It is such a pretty location. When we had an issue with one room the staff at the front desk responded very well. I could not fault them. My only small gripe was that there is no gym really: some very limited equipment in a small room. We stayed in a few places in Croatia and I would definitely return here. About Opatija: it attracts a mixed crowd but definitely an elegant crowd - you see this in the evenings as people promenade. The lungomare stretches for something like 12 km. There are boat trips and it feels like a place you can easily spend a few days.

A superb choice, especially for regular visitors. The location is fantastic, and all amenities are top-notch. But the **true standout stars are the staff**. They treat you like a long-lost family member returning home – warm, genuinely welcoming, and incredibly attentive. This personal touch, combined with the perfect facilities and prime spot, makes every stay exceptional. As someone on my nth visit (well over 10!), I can't recommend Milenij highly enough. A real gem in Opatija.

The staff is friendly and unobtrusive, the ambiance is intimate and not crowded. The massage is exceptional! I recommend it to everyone!
