Unfortunately, our stay was a complete disappointment. 1. We were initially assigned the family suite. Initially surprised by the size of the suite, which we would only be using as a couple, we quickly realized that the standard of this suite did not match what we had booked. There was several centimeters of protection under the beds. While I was looking for my cell phone, we moved the sofa chair and discovered that crumbs and dust in the upholstery left a rather unkempt impression. Behind the sofa, we found a ball - apparently, this had been "overlooked" during the suite's cleaning. The bathtub was dirty, and the room was generally unloved, with a dirty carpet. 2. We then requested a different room - and were assigned a nice one - with a balcony opening onto the side where the ventilation fans made a courtly noise. This meant we had to sleep with the window closed. 3. We were told that we would have to pay an extra €20 per person to use the sauna. !!!!! After we asked the seminar leader, use of the sauna was included in our room price. Apart from that, we looked at the wellness area and found that the sauna area was not well lit. There is lighting, but it was only used sparingly. One sauna chamber was completely broken. The staff also confirmed to us that the wellness area needs to be renovated. We feel that charging an extra €20 for this is unfriendly to customers. 4. The food at the buffet was often cold. For a room price of €340, we get much better quality in a wellness hotel. Since I don't eat meat or fish, I was talked out of having falbel. That was nice, but by no means satisfactory. In this case, the price-performance ratio was not right for us at all. In conclusion: we are deeply disappointed with our stay at the Amadria Park hotel in Opatija. It was not the relaxation we had hoped for. If we hadn't booked the yoga course, we would have left early....
