I chose garden manor as we didn't get a room in our usual hotel. But we weren't disappointed and the service and rooms were super clean and the location was also at a great place, nearby botanical garden. Loved the way the hotel management treated us. Will definitely recommend my friends and family to this hotel.

We had a nice holiday at Aakash. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and our children were given books and toys to play. The hotel has a variety of rooms ranging from small, medium to very large. We took the premium family room which was very large with 2 large double beds. The food was tasty and can be customised to our preferences. The rooms are well-maintained, clean and have a good set of amenities. The wifi isn free with excellent speeds, in addition all TV channels were available. The front desk was helpful in getting our day-to-day sightseeing activities organised. The hotel is centrally located and very close to most attractions. Parking can be a little tricky on account of the slope but nothing an experienced driver can't manage. We found the hotel a good value for money stay.

I had an amazing stay at the Hillside Cottage. The rooms were very clean and quite spacious. There is hot water available 24/7. Each room is provided with a electric kettle and tea/coffee available on request. All the major tourist attractions are in near proximity. Highly recommended for families interms of safety and secure. The owner of the stay Mr. Dhanabalan was very kind, helpful and suggested places to visit. The restaurants are little far, but food app like zomato, swiggy is available. Care must be taken as the roads to the stay is very steep. Car parking is available. The price of the hotel is reasonable.

Firstly, I was given a room in an extension block that seemed to have been built recently. It was modern but lacked the charm and character of a true heritage property. The main building, with its fireplace and historic ambience, was nowhere to be found. This was especially disappointing considering the premium price I paid, comparable to what you'd expect from a 5-star hotel. The lack of attention to detail continued throughout my stay. When I checked in on a rainy day, I had to walk to the extension block without an umbrella despite the muddy road. The staff seemed unbothered by this inconvenience. Additionally, the room didn't have slippers, and the floor was cold, with no heating available (although they did provide a basic room heater when requested). To make matters worse, I had to call the front desk to confirm my room for the second day, which should have been done automatically as part of their standard procedure. This lack of efficiency only added to my frustration. The toiletries were also woefully inadequate, with only basic soap and shampoo provided. Power cuts were frequent, and I had to notify the front desk each time, which seemed like a hassle the hotel should have anticipated. The breakfast buffet was uninspiring and lacked flavour. To make matters worse, I had dinner at their restaurant, which was rated top in Ooty, but my experience was average at best. To add insult to injury, they got our order wrong, substituting Nasi Goreng (fried rice) with Mee Goreng (fried noodles). When I brought this to their attention, they made no effort to compensate for the mistake. In conclusion, Hotel King's Cliff fails to live up to its reputation as a heritage property or even a 2-star hotel. The overpricing and lack of attention to detail make it a poor choice for travellers seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Ooty.
