This hotel, which was once a cozy family hotel, no longer has that appearance at all. It is clear that upper management (Flow) is doing everything they can to keep personnel costs down as much as possible in this branch of the chain: - no restaurant anymore. - a bar that has to run entirely on the only receptionist on duty in the evenings. The music that is then turned on is sufficiently loud so that the place quickly becomes unpleasant. Could be on purpose, because it closed at 10:30 PM. - a drinks menu in the bar was not available. You just had to order blindly without knowing what the offer or prices were. - a more limited breakfast buffet than before, with a minimum of staff used: at a certain point, at least 5 "cozy" tables with a nice view had not yet been cleared by the waitress, so we had to take a seat at the back. The waitress couldn't do anything about it, because she barely had time to replenish bread and toppings and refill the coffee machine, so clean plates also became scarce. So she didn't have time to ask everyone who came in for their room number. The style and way of working has changed so much that this has become a completely impersonal check-in/check-out Motel where no one pays attention to the customer anymore, only to the administration. We booked the room online with breakfast and a 3-course dinner included. We were very surprised when we learned upon arrival that dinner was not taking place in this hotel, but in De Zon. That's not correct. Such matters should be mentioned in advance. If we had known this, we would not have booked our room here, but perhaps in De Zon, so that we did not have to leave the hotel to eat. In our case this was a "walk" of about ten minutes in the pouring rain both ways. I guess management thinks they are doing the right thing. I rather expect that they are completely ruining a hotel that once had a very pleasant atmosphere.
