Etosha Trading Post is located 7km south of Etosha Andersson’s Gate and offers 4 individuel and 4 group campsites. No rooms. There is a fast-food restaurant & shop (both close at 19:00hrs), a pool & petrol station. Outfit and layout provide a nice on-the-road atmosphere. Service is friendly. We had a group campsite with electricity & water, common shower (hot), simple washbasins & toilets. All was acceptably clean. Etosha Trading Post is an OK place, and good for 1 or 2 nights while visiting the park. Recommended.

We didn't use the Trading Post campsite, but instead used as a stopping point before entering Etosha National Park to fill up with fuel and to buy some supplies. It is a nice modern building with a good selection of drink and food supplies , a gift shop and a cafe and takeaway service. They have a lovely outside garden and terrace where you can sit and eat and have lovely clean toilets. The best part of the trading post is its petrol station , especially as Etosha reserve has no fuel, It is only 7kms from the entrance gate to the reserve, so great to stop off on your way in , and to pop out to refill whilst staying. Food in cafe is pretty basic, burgers, pies and chips but its a nice garden to eat in. Staff are all very friendly and chatty . They also have a security guard on duty at the petrol station who is lovely to chat to, and a tyre repair service is available

We loved our stay at Etosha Trading Post! The location is absolutely perfect — just 10 minutes from Etosha’s main gate — which makes it very easy to enter the park right when it opens and make the most of your game drives. The campsite is well-equipped, with a fuel station and a small convenience shop that stocks all the basics you might need. However, the experience could be even better if they added a restaurant, as this would be a huge plus after a long day in the park. The pool area is beautiful and a great place to relax in the heat of the day. Just be aware that once night falls, the frogs around the pool can get very loud — charming for some, but maybe a surprise if you’re looking for complete silence!

I used the Campsite not a room. I had a nice stay at Etosha Trading Post. If I will visit Etosha NP again, I will come again to Trading Post. It's a perfect place , because there is a filling station a tyre repair. The shop and the restaurant gives you the possibility to relax after a long day drive through the National Park.

We camped with 2 x offroad camping trailers on one of the group campsites. The site was spacious, clean, with table bench, braai, wind protected deck and close to the clean ablutions, enough privacy and shade. Highly recommended.

I stayed here in April, 2025, camping, as part of the Kiboko Adventure Safari. The campsite was spacious - plenty of room for all of us and our tents. The amenities block was spotlessly clean. The pool is spring fed (with a windmill) and is cool, clear and clean after a day game driving. But the shop!!! Go upstairs. It's a virtual Aladdin's Cave of wonderful curios, souvenirs, clothing, stationery, and jewellery. Downstairs is good too. Mostly food and drinks, with some books, etc. But upstairs.... The internet can be a bit sketchy, but patience is a virtue. Loved my stay here. Could have stayed longer.
