The hotel did not live up to expectations. For 3 weeks of travel, the most expensive hotel. The double rooms are small, there is no refrigerator. The view from the balcony is sad. Look at the wall of small trees. We were upgraded to a family room at no additional charge. They are large, located closer to the restaurant and the view is accordingly not of the forest, but as if higher, because... The restaurant and main building are located on a hill. The further the room is from the restaurant, the lower the house and the less view. We went to the pool near the restaurant, the water was warm. We took dinner for 500 US dollars per person. Dinner buffet without drinks. It is very dark at dinner, the lamps on the table are very dim. You can't see what you're eating. The dinner is delicious, but still very expensive for Namibia.

We stayed three nights in the Safari Camp and one in the Safari Lodge. The lodge is more expensive and more formal. Located on the top of the hill, you can enjoy a beautiful view from the terrace. The Camp is at the bottom of the hill, with very nice chalets which are furnished in a simple but funny way. We definitely enjoyed the Camp, especially because of the relaxed atmosphere, the dinner with live traditional music. Once the service is ended, all the staff participate to the music session and dance around the fire. We recommend the Camp for simple people that looks for african atmospheres, the Lodge for people that does not want to renounce to the luxury even in Etosha.

Gute Lage am Südeingang von Etosha, sehr groß, Essensangebot vielfältig, Atmosphäre beim Essen innen wie in einer Mensa, draußen schön. Anlage weitläufig. Leider wurde unser Pick-Up vergessen und wir mussten Fuß zum Restaurant gehen, was aber auch in 5 Min erledigt war. Zimmer klein und renovierungsbedürftig.

Stayed here for 3 nights in May 2025 , pleasant greeting upon arrival with an iced tea and a face towel for refreshing ourselves . Taken into reception and given the rundown on how everything works . Our room was ok but lots of little things needing doing or were broken ( floor in a terrible condition - toilet broken , not flushing , no plug in sink ) I contacted reception and they were very quick in fixing toilet and supplying plug . The communal areas around the 3 pools were all very tired and in some cases dangerously loose decking boards sticking up or broken ! The Dinner was disappointing you only had the choice of having a buffet , and regardless of how much you wanted it was all the same price £ 550 NMB - so even if you only had a plate of salad it was still £550 ! No option for 1 price for a starter ( if that’s all you wanted ) or 1 price for a main - and 1 price for a desert ! I didn’t think this was very good as I’m not a big eater and I didn’t want to pay the same price for a salad that someone else was paying for starter - main and desert . However I did speak to the manager and after some negotiation she allowed me to have just salad on one night and charged me accordingly ( the two other nights I didn’t eat ) but had a late lunch , ironically the lunch menu was much better than the Dinner buffet and was also all priced individually . Great location but poor accommodation and dilapidated pool areas

Etosha safari lodge is clean with nice lodges which are slightly dated but absolutely fine. The main reception area is good with an excellent viewing station bar looking over a very small watering hole where we saw a few zebra, Duiker, and warthog with a nice cold reasonably priced beer. The buffet was the only slightly disappointing downside. Good quality was ok but nothing special for the relatively expensive price? We were placed one evening in the hallway and had to argue to be moved not the main dining area. It’s only a few minutes from the Anderson Gate so is very convenient for the park. Overall would recommend.

Der große Pluspunkt ist die Lage. Ansonsten sind die Bungalows renovierungsbedürftig. Das Buffet ist in Ordnung, es sollte für jeden etwas dabei sein. Außergewöhnlich ist das Essen allerdings nicht. Aus unserer Sicht ist die Unterkunft für das was sie bietet überteuert.
