The Lakes - Kai Iwi Lakes Exclusive Retreat Northland is 25 minutes' drive from Dargaville town center. Waipoua Forest, home of the oldest Kauri tree in New Zealand, is 22 mi away. It is a 20-minute drive to Baylys Beach.
Free Wi-Fi is available in each unit. All have a super king-size bed, TV and a DVD player. Some include full kitchen facilities. The rooms and apartments are fully furnished and all bed linen is supplied.
Guests have access to kayaks, bicycles and a fitness center. There is a small DVD library available for guests’ use. A 40-minute walk over the neighboring farm leads to Ripiro Beach, the longest beach in New Zealand.

Many thanks to our lovely hosts Chris & Cherie. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed a throughly peaceful and quiet experience. Beach is across the road and there are complimentary bikes and kayaks to use if you for the lakes and bike trails. Cherie also provided red light torches for us to use at the nearby kiwi sanctuary at Trounson Kauri park.. quite a experience looking for kiwis in their nature habitat.

This place is amazing! Tucked away from the main road but still close enough to the lakes. The amenities (gym/spa pool/theatre&games room) were excellent! Cherie & Chris were amazing hosts and always made sure we were comfortable. The room we stayed at (studio) was bigger than I expected and had all the basics that you need.
