The view was stunning. The room was very clean and comfortable. I found my coffee maker was broken so forget my tasty cup o Joe with the sunrise. I inquired but no coffee in the lobby. Had to wait for the restaurant to open. They didn’t act like anything would be done about the coffee maker but when I got back to the room they brought another one. The food was meh with minimal healthy options. I’d suggest eating elsewhere or bring fresh fruit and vegetables and/or something microwaveable. Definitely only worth one night if you want the view. And after polling other patrons, definitely stay in a cabin.

Fabulous view from our balcony. Staff not very helpful or welcoming apart from one guy who asked if we wanted our room cleaning. Breakfast was help yourself, not great. Didn't stay for the evening meal as other guests advised us not to. Room was fine, bit dated, but adequate - compare to other hotels we'd stayed in the View isn't worth the price in my opinion. The highlight of the visit was a 2 and a half hour private tour of the Valley with Steven, a Navajo guide who was born there. He was great, sharing a lot of information about the tribe and their customs, stopping for us to take photos, we saw things we wouldn't have been able to access without Steven. The best thing about the hotel is.....the view!

It’s all in the name “The View”. Almost the best view a hotel can offer. However, the staffis just awfull and plain rude. We booked a 2 queen bedroom but upon arrival we were told that the room was now a single king. According to the receptionist all double queen rooms on the upper levels changed into single king a couple of months ago. Which is a straight up lie; there are still double queens bookable. But the front desk lady would be happy to cancel the reservation if we had an issue with that. In that case we could try to find another hotel. Also diner and breakfast are sub-par for the price of the hotel. Waitress was just putting plates on the table and did not care about the guests at all. At the moment she decided that we must have been ready, she just pit the bill on the table and walked away. No eye contact, no “was everything fine?”. Never been more happy to not leave a tip.

The room itself was well equipped and comfortable. Not sure I would call it "fancy" or "luxury" but certainly more than adequate. Some signs of wear and tear. Everything worked... in-room coffee machine, for example. Interesting, there was an amazingly diverse international crowd. In the restaurant (12-15 tables?), I think we heard 6-8 different languages from all over the world. But the VIEW... wow!! Absolutely stunning!

Booked a driver room as this was the only option available, was slightly apprehensive about what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Check in was busy but the staff acknowledged my presence and stopped another guest from queue jumping when my turn came. The room itself was very comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed for a one night stay - fridge, coffee maker, microwave, safe, toiletries. We didn’t have the view and were well aware of this when we made the reservation, we took sunset in at the restaurant whilst eating our picnic where there were plenty of tables an available. Breakfast was adequate for our needs, it’s nothing fancy, I consider myself a fussy eater and didn’t starve. Staff are super friendly and helpful, most definitely recommend.

Its location and name sums it up - The view. We were able to sit on our balcony and watch the sunset, watch the stars and in the morning sit in our pyjamas with a blanket around us to watch the sunrise. The breakfast was adequate for a free buffet breakfast. If staying at monument valley, the view is the place to stay - for the view. however, As many have noted, the service is shocking. you arent made to feel welcome at all. We were surprised those without reservations arrived at 2pm and instantly got a room and access. We contacted the view the day before to see if we could arrange an early check in and we were told to try after 2pm. We did try at 2pm and were then told to come back in an hour. Do we did and were told by a lady to come back at 4 or 5pm. . While others were checking in and saying they got a text messages advising rooms ready. So we asked why we couldnt get a text advising when out room ready - oh you can they said. its not a service that is advised it seems so be sure to ask for it. Also be aware the website shows they are fully booked - but they have room availability every day.

Staff in the hotel friendly and helpful, room clean and functional, a bit worn and tired needing some upgrading, south facing balcony with uninterrupted views over Monument Valley. Fridge, microwave, coffee machine and safe provided. Breakfast was provided but dire, really lets the hotel down badly. Limited choices, nothing fresh, could not cut through the stale bagel, shame. Recommend a guided tour, booking in the car park was efficient and tour guide/driver really informative. A unique setting for a hotel.

Honestly I expected worse. Check in was fast, the room corresponded to what was chosen and paid for. Dirty and old carpet, poor lighting. The view was wonderful. The score does not represent the quality but the correspondence with what we expected (almost all hotels in the USA would not even be worth 2 stars).

This place is all about the view, so imagine our disappointment to be in a room where part of the view is obscured by the restaurant building. We were told this information was on our booking but having checked again it is nowhere to be found. Staff were friendly and the hotel was comfortable. We didn't have dinner in the restaurant but breakfast rates as one of the worst I've ever been offered in many years of travelling. My advice is bring your own. The shop has some beautiful pieces but everything is vastly overpriced even with the 'discounts' offered.
