This place advertises itself as a Luxury resort. It couldn’t be further from luxury., The restaurant was closed. But seeing all the trash and flies everywhere, I’m not sure I would have eaten there anyway. I had a coffee maker, with no cups, no coffee.no towels, and when calling the front desk, got hung up on. I do not recommend!!!!!

I would give zero stars if possible. We left because elevator wasn't working, pool was dirty, swim up bar not functional and covered with plywood and found a roach in our room. They are still charging us for the night!!! Horrible!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! DISTGUSTING POOL OUT OF CODE, THE RESTAURANT AND BAR IS ACTUALLY NOT OPEN (We were there on a Thursday at the end of June), SHEETS SMELL LIKE SMOKE. You will turn the corner on hwy 86 and immediately be excited about your stay at D’ Monaco. It’s beautiful from the street but as soon as you turn into the ‘resort’ you enter a vacant, mis-kept facility. To start, there was not one other person staying at the ‘resort’ while we were there – should have been our first sign. We planned to spend the day at the pool, at the advertised swim-up bar/restaurant. IT’S NOT OPEN. They say ‘only during season’…I’d say end of June is season…The pool and surrounding space is ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. I sell swimming pools for a living, so I know my share about maintenance and sanitary regulation. I stepped one foot into the pool and slipped – hurt my back and ankle due to the amount of slippery grim on the floor of the pool. THERE WERE MAGGOTS IN THE POOL!!! My 3-year-old daughter wouldn’t even use the restroom by the pool because of how disgusting it was. I must share the SMALL positive (still not enough reason to go back) rooms had a good view and were spacious; but, sheets smelled like smoke. Rooms weren’t bad but the rest of the facility was so gross and unkept that it made you question how sanitary the rooms actually were. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT STAY HERE!!! This place is a scam. I wouldn’t pay $1 to stay here and they are charging $250 for weeknights, $500 on weekends. If I could give negative stars, I would.

I had the pleasure of staying in one of the villas at this Resort. The Rooms are clean, spacious, and stunning, but THE VIEW is AMAZING, like nothing I’ve ever seen before! WOW… I can’t wait to revisit in the summer to enjoy the kayaks, swimming pool/Bar and restaurant. Tim was hands down one of the best Manager / customer service rep. He took us on a tour of the Resort, anything we needed he got it right for us. We had the best time!! Thank you!

Wedding group rip-off. They promised a reduced rate for a wedding group but later, after our second night stay only reduced one night of the two night stay, and that only after we requested the reduction multiple times. When we booked the room at a higher rate, they promised they would apply the wedding discount when we checked out. Then they charged us more for the second night than their advertised rate. We complained about this for several weeks until they finally said they had a new owner who would not make this right. I would not trust the people who own and manage this place.
