Fairfield Inn & Suites Memphis Olive Branch

We booked thru the Marriott app and it said this hotel was a 4.something. Definitely not. After getting here I googled it and saw that it’s a 3.something. This place is gross. The hallway floors are stained and filthy. The room is dingy and stinks. Crumbs and hairs along the mattress edge. Hairs on the bathroom wall. The pool was clear but starting to turn green. 3 towels available. Im not expecting breakfast to be anything to wow me or change my mind about this place. We’re traveling with our young kids and I hated letting them walk around the room without shoes.

This place needs a makeover. It is dirty, tired, and smells like garlic and fried chicken. The bed was comfortable, however who can sleep with that smell? The staff was friendly but we would not stay there again. We got up and left at 4:30 am. Yuck.

Ms. Patsy you are the best. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly but the best part is the breakfast bar. There is a variety of breakfast items and the way it’s presented and the cleanliness of it makes it the best i have come across.

Rarely is trip advisor wrong. This is not a 4.5 property. Needs lot of attention and a remodel. People who work here are very nice though. My shower curtain was too short so flooded the bathroom. No usb ports anywhere. Trash in the halls. Flooring in disrepair. Meets expectation for 1985.

The rooms have a very unpleasant odor, which everyone in our party experienced in the 5 rooms we reserved for the weekend. Our room was particularly disagreeable because one of my pillows smelled like sewage. The hotel uses duck feather pillows; if laundry doesn't dry it thoroughly, it can emit an odor. I never got over how bad it smelled and felt uncomfortable in our room. I can't help but think that someone knew the room smelled bad because the window to our room was open when we arrived on a 95-degree day. The coffee packets in our room were wrong and didn't fit in the coffee machine, but it didn't matter because it wouldn't turn on anyway. The coffee container was empty when we went to get coffee from the lobby. We never received housekeeping service. There were a lot of kids at the hotel for a baseball tourney, and they took over the pool and ran the hallways at all hours. My daughter and her husband were unable to relax by the pool because of the kids. That same daughter was in room 130, dealing with noise from laundry service on one side and the pool on the other. One day, the water was shut off at 10:30 AM for several hours. On checkout, I wanted to use the bathroom lobby but couldn't because the housekeeper told me there was a problem with the toilet. I did have a pleasant phone call with Lavinzia, the manager, when I called ahead to see if we could check in early (which we did). She also checked us in when the initial clerk couldn't find our reservation and was very pleasant and professional. We also had a positive experience with the front desk clerk to whom we returned our pillow. She delivered another to our room, and apologized. If you want a peaceful vacation, avoid this hotel in early July because of LOTS of kids who are up all hours, and avoid rooms on the first floor (130-135) sandwiched between laundry and the pool.

Did some research and found this to be a nice hotel, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good , but the attendant didn't seem to care about putting out more items, had to find her and beg for milk, for cereal. The hotel offered a shuttle for 10$$ , we used it and it was very helpful to get into the city. The room was clean and would stay again.

Hotel rooms ( multiple) were very musty smelling. 9am on a Sunday, the breakfast bar was extremely low and out of cold cereal,hardboiled eggs, coffee cups creamer.. The door states 12 noon check out. But I had to argue with the cleaning staff that it was noon check out. On many levels a better choice could be made anywhere. I am also a Marriott and Hilton Diamond

Very disappointing. Weak lighting and in the wrong place. Toilet leaked water continuously into the bowl and the sink drained very slowly. These last two issues should have been noticed by the cleaning person so it makes one wonder how carefully they clean the bathroom. But that wasn't the main issue. Their wifi didn't work until the next morning - and that really wasn't so bad. What really was bad was that they knew it wasn't working when we checked in but didn't bother to say a word until I noticed it and complained and then they said it hadn't been working the whole day. How inconsiderate to fail to mention that kind of problem BEFORE CHECK-IN. Wifi was critical for us as I needed to look up important info using my computer but was unable to do so. Such behavior is unacceptable. no excuse for that.

The desk clerk during Thanksgiving Holiday said the Hotel was at 80% capacity with no room service from Wednesday through Friday. Limited hot water, clerk was rude and overwhelmed. Poor communication and poor service.
