The hotel is a large resort with complete facilities and a dedicated entrance to the beach. The price/performance ratio is still very high in the off-season. The only drawback is that the breakfast is too simple.

The reception team are amazing we arrived early morning and they got are room sorted for 12 instead of 4 o clock which was amazing for us as we were tired and warm the apartment was spotless clean and smelt amazing always clean towels every day and hoovered which I loved as most places brush the floor ( just me as im so fussy ) the pool areas where also spotless clean never seen any rubbish lying about 14 pools we didn’t get to try them all as my soon had his favourites the water was cool but welcomed as it was very warm weather the bar staff always had a smile on their faces the spar across the road had everything and more hairdressers also next door to spar which I loved used twice so defo give him a go he was amazing at his job the hotel is central to everything walking distance to old and new town we used uber as my little son doesnt like to walk much by far my favourite family holiday I couldn’t fault one thing about this place at all

Went with my husband and two kids and we all had a great time. The pools are lovely and relaxing. The food is good/fine. The beach is beautiful. The apartment was well appointment and larger than we thought. It was nice to be able to buy fruit and cereal at the markets on site.

Ik heb hier verbleven met mijn man en twee kinderen van 6 en 9 jaar oud. We hadden een appartement in het Prestige gedeelte. Het appartement was heel ruim, met een heel groot balkon waar twee ligstoelen stonden en een tafel met vier stoelen. Het balkon was toegankelijk vanuit de woonkamer en de aparte slaapkamer. De keuken was erg compleet ingericht, tot een staafmixer aan toe. Enige dat “ontbrak” was een vaatwasser. We hebben vooral gebruik gemaakt van het zwembad bij het Prestige gedeelte en dat was erg rustig. De hele dag waren er ligstoelen beschikbaar en aan ligbedden reserveren werd nauwelijks gedaan, wat erg fijn was. We hebben heerlijk gegeten bij onder andere het “Cafetaria” restaurant. Heerlijk gegeten en heel vriendelijke bediening. We hadden ontbijt erbij geboekt maar daar hadden we een beetje spijt van. Het Oliveira buffetrestaurant was vooral later in de ochtend erg druk en aangezien het buffet niet zo groot was was het echt een gekrioel van mensen. We zouden heel vroeg in de ochtend vertrekken en tot onze verrassing kwamen ze een uitgebreid ontbijtpakket brengen de avond voor ons vertrek. Hadden we niet op gerekend, dus was extra leuk. Al met al een heel positieve ervaring en als we weer eens terug zullen keren naar Albufeira zullen we dit hotel zeker weer boeken.

Just back from a fantastic stay in The Alfagar. We stayed in the Prestige which I could not fault. We had a corner ground floor room which was large and had lovely views. Our son has additional needs so we spent most of stay in the resort, enjoyed all the restaurants. Loved the mix between all the areas. Staff lovely and no issues with sunbeds etc. Overall a great experience.

Fantastic large 2 bedroom apartment in the Aparthotel. Great choice of restaurants on site and across the road in the Colina. Pools were a big hit with the kids especially the kiddies pool and slide and splash area. Would highly recommend Alfagar for families with plenty of entertainment to keep the small ones entertained

Great hotel ,child entertainment and kids club brilliant lovely friendly staff mars and Danny were wonderful to the kids and adults great crack .we came from Ireland and had a great time .poolside and bar great too and reception area lovely only downside was the rooms they were outdated other than that recommended.we will be back

We absolutely loved our stay in alfagar aparthotel. We stayed in the Prestige 2 bed apartment and it was a great size and spotless. There are 5 pools to choose from as well as the sister hotel across the road. No problems getting sunloungers. Giovanni restaurant is great quality food. Breakfast was good too. The beach is a short walk away but down a fair few steps. It was well worth it though. The grounds of the aparthotel and village are all together and very pretty. Entertainment is from about 7 to 10pm. Our kids weren't interested but it seemed good fun. We will definitely return.

There is a manhole over right outside the main reception that is loose and bangs every time when a car drives over it. Very noisy and wakes the baby. This is 5th night and nothing done to solve it. A simple wedge or rubber gasket would fix this in 5 mins. Very noisy.
