Aquamar Albufeira Aparthotel

I had a medical emergency with my daughter and the hotel refused to refund me, despite submitting evidence. Trip customer service were very helpful, so they get 5 stars, but the hotel showed no humanity and just kept £350!! 0 stars!

Lovely spacious apartments in a great location. The rooms are full air-conditioned with no extra charge. Pools are a good size for splashing about and the food is good and fairly priced. There are lots of lovely places to eat and drink nearby and an Uber to Albuferia town will cost you about €7.00 I'd highly recommend this place, the staff are lovely, beds are comfortable and the rooms are really clean. Bonus is that you can sign into your prime or netflix on the TV in the room too.

The staff here are absolutely fantastic, they are all geared towards helping you enjoy your holiday. There were 2 adults and 1 child on this trip. Everyday we were guaranteed a sun lounger (although admittedly we did get up at 9am to place our towels out) and had breakfast at the bar. The average price for breakfast was £15, which included 2 toasties, 2 hot drinks and a fresh orange. They also do a selection of foods for dinner. After eating locally for a few nights (average price €60 for three people) we ventured out to the old town (taxi price - there and back €10 total) lots of eateries available however must give Mr Ribs a mention here. We also ventured out to the Marina for a coastal and caves boat trip - I recommend you wear sun cream for this 3 hour trip! They also stopped for a while so you can have a dip into the sea. Plenty of eateries available at the marina also. All in all a well enjoyed holiday - we would definitely come back.

Myself and my husband have just returned from a fantastic week’s holiday staying at the Aqua Mar apartments. After an early morning flight we arrived before our apartment was ready, however within half an hour (spent with a cold beer at the pool bar!) we were given our keys, our luggage already taken to our room. The apartment (one bedroom with pool view) was huge. Big bedroom (two singles pushed together, very comfortable with lovely pillows!) Large bathroom with two showers (one over the bath) and two sinks. A spacious living room (with sofa bed and tv) led into a separate kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge. We could have lived there! The apartment was very clean and had a view of the pool although the balcony was rather small. We were on the ground floor at the end of the building. It was quiet and peaceful even though we were right across the road from a variety of bars and restaurants - a very accessible location. The pool area was great, two pools, plenty of umbrellas and sun beds. People didn’t get up at the crack of dawn to put towels down and there were enough beds for everyone. The pool bar was great for drinks and food, best sangria of the holiday! Special mention to Jose at reception, such a friendly guy who was a joy to talk to and who made us feel very welcome, thank you! I’d definitely recommend these apartments and would happily stay there again.

Where to start with this apartment. We stayed from 29/6 - 09/07 in this lovely resort. The apartment (superior pool room) was phenomenal, massive in size and the largest we’ve stayed in with separate bathroom, bedroom, living room and full kitchen with full sized fridge. The air con was a dream in hot conditions and worked superbly. The pool area was lovely and relaxed with a great atmosphere - 2 decent sized pools, with a nice bar area for a drink and a game of pool. Never no rush for a sunbed either, always free any time of the day which is a feat in itself nowadays. The staff are an absolute credit to this place, I’ve never encountered such friendly, helpful people - keep them happy at all costs as they were above and beyond. Jose on reception was a really kind, genuine man and we spoke on several occasions about anything and everything sharing a similar date for our birthdays - hope you had a great day Jose. A lovely card and bottle of Prosecco was left in our room for my birthday which was a nice gesture and one we gratefully received. I’d stop here again in a heartbeat and we are looking at booking next year, we never visit the same place twice so this goes to show how much we loved it. An absolute gem of a place. Thanks to everyone for making our stay wonderful, 10 days was nowhere near enough, gutted to be back home!
