Premier Inn Stratford-Upon-Avon Waterways

Although the staff were friendly and helpful and the location is great for the town centre I have scored low because of the following. We have to ask for room service we should get it regardless that’s what we pay for! There is an extra charge for parking it should be included in the rate. There is a £10 fee for early check in if the room is ready we should be able to get in free of charge IHG do not have an early check in fee.

We visited this hotel as we met up with friends.. we Saturday Saturday 11 th April. it's a great location with a lovely walk along the canal to the town centre. The room was clean and comfortable. We booked a meal in the restaurant. The staff were brilliant our waitress Ewa welcomed us and was professional and friendly. She made sure had drinks checked if we had any allergies and told us about the breakfast dinner offer. One of our starters arrived a bit delayed but male manager sorted it out for us and was brilliant. The staff all worked really hard manning the bar restaurant and checking in. Nothing was too much trouble despite them being very busy. We ran out of toilet roll and they replaced it straight away in our room. The breakfast was delicious as was the evening meal. We stayed late into the evening and they kindly told us about the bar closing and if we wanted more drinks. All in all a great weekend away.

Terrible service. We booked a "Premier Plus" room, which was supposed to be an enhanced experience, but it was the worst stay in a Premier Inn we ever had: - The TV became stuck on and wouldn't turn off. There was no phone in the room, so one of us had to run down to reception to report it, and they had to come up and turn off the fuse box to the room. They said they knew about the problem, and that it "randomly affected" lots of guests since the completion of a recent refurbishment project. - We were woken up in the middle of the night by the shower violently leaking and sputtering, despite the fact we'd turned it off before bed. - In the morning, the shower became blocked and flooded the bathroom! The hotel manager was hopeless at listening to our complaints and fobbed us off to a web address for reporting the problems (we eventually received a 1/3 refund off the booking price once we'd gone through that process). Whatever this recent "refurbishment project" was, the team at this hotel are clearly struggling with serious teething problems from it, and are not capable of delivering the experience they promise. Stay clear. If you have to stay in a Premier Inn in Stratford Upon Avon, try your luck with the other, "Central" one.

Best premier inn I have ever stopped in. The staff are amazing always there to help. One staff member Owen was amazing, I needed some assistance during my stay and Owen was shift to help. Housekeeping team are super friendly and the rooms are great. Thank you waterways had a great stay.
