I am writing this following our weekend stay at Croydon Hall for my daughters wedding. We made the decision to book 18 months ago after meeting Jeremy and Rylene and viewing the beautiful Croydon Hall. It was apparent immediately that they would be able to deliver my daughters dream wedding. How right we were. Jeremy and his team were so helpful and accommodating. Every time we thought of a question he was there to answer it. The wedding ran so smoothly that there was no stress on our part. They even at short notice provided a livestream for grandparents and friends around the world who couldn’t make it. The accommodation was excellent and very flexible for the needs of our party. The facilities were very well maintained and we enjoyed the pool and spa over the weekend. The food was of a very high standard from the breakfasts, the evening meals that we had a wide variety to choose from and most importantly the wedding breakfast. Here it was obvious his team were used to catering on a large scale as the food was hot, plentiful and delicious. In these busy times, It was so nice to have the venue for the sole use of our party and having the two nights, at the same place, with dinner and drinks, allowed for a catchup with all the people we hadn’t seen for so long. Rylene did an amazing job with the decoration of the whole venue, to my daughters specification and adding her own very obvious expertise. Everyone we spoke to agreed it was nothing short of spectacular. Jeremy was also helpful with the other organisational elements such as photographer recommendations. Of course everything has a price and weddings are not a cheap affair. But I felt that we got fantastic value for money in all aspects of our stay and the wedding. At no stage did we feel pressured to spend more than our budget. We were given straight forward prices and left to decide on the elements that were important to us. If you are planning a wedding, I would urge you to consider Croydon Hall and there are fantastic photos on the website, but nothing can do it justice like a personal viewing with Jeremy and his team.

Stayed at Croydon Hall for a friend's wedding. A really beautiful hotel, will amazing grounds and a great heated swimming pool. The main reason for leaving this review though was the wonderful staff. They did not stop all weekend and were always (whatever time of day!) always so friendly, helpful and worked so hard. If you are considering this place for a wedding, do it. It's just perfect.

Beautiful - venue, grounds, wedding. Staff are amazing, and a credit to the venue. Food is very good quality. If you are booking the venue for your wedding you will not be disappointed with the principal rooms. However, if you wish your guests to enjoy the same experience please do view the guest accommodation because it does not reflect the main rooms and is, we believe, below par even giving consideration to the guest discount applied. We have contacted the owner direct to provide feedback to our opinion, submitted photographs of our very poor quality room, and received short shrift as a response. Guests we have spoken to at the same event very unhappy with their experience too, though not prepared to submit formal feedback. Given the business format of one-off events, no intention of a return visit, not surprising. If you are considering this venue, you will be thoroughly sold on its location, landscape and principal rooms, but if you value your guests (and their financial pockets!) then do insist on visiting the guest accommodation. And if there is a response to this review, we only expect it to be unprofessional, as per our direct engagement with the owner, so will not engage further. We tried the direct approach, and have photographs to uphold our findings.

Went here for a family wedding and it was lovely, a great setting for the ceremony & photographs, as well as lovely food & drinks. The staff all seemed really lovely and the food was really tasty. Wouldn't mind going back to stay overnight and to try more of the facilities.

Incredibly disappointed. Nobody took our coats, so we carried them with us to the dining room and left them on a neighbouring chair. Two of us ordered gins and tonics, which were served in very tiny brandy glasses. The food was not what we expected.

I throughly enjoyed my stay at Croydon Hall, I was greeted by Mark the manager on our arrival and it was chucking it down and chilly, the fire 🔥 was lit within minutes in the beautiful reception area overlooking five acres of land! Absolutely stunning place to visit, definitely a hidden gem! Mark the manager could not do enough for us and was very accommodating, had a lovely afternoon tea in a beautiful room overlooking the gardens! The food was fresh and delicious! Enjoyed the spa with my daughter on two occasions which was so relaxing after a full day exploring Minehead and Dunster Castle which is definitely worth a visit. Lovely room as well. Im definitely returning to Croydon Hall it’s a little off the beaten track but that’s the beauty of it, very peaceful surroundings and a place where you can decompress and enjoy the stunning Somerset countryside! Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience!

Stayed the night before and night of our wedding, which the hotel was aware of. A memorable feature was being greeted and having a chat each morning with the chef. He helped put me at ease on my wedding day. The room itself was lovely, but a little tatty in places, and heated to 30 degrees celsius. Far too hot. Rectified by turning the thermostats down and flinging all the windows open for a few hours. Found it a bit odd how there was no infill panel to be found for the bathroom window so when showering could see down the gardens. Rectified by hanging a towel over the glass. A niggle was was being charged the full £15 for a breakfast on the morning of the wedding. Only had a bowl of cereal, one piece of bacon and some toast (only ordered bacon and one hash brown off the hot food due to lack of appetite). Couldn't eat due to nerves but guess that's my problem, not the hotel. Overall, an enjoyable stay and recommended it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the country. Some of the staff are an asset.

We stayed at his hotel for 2 nights but wish we could of stayed longer! Mark was so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was ever too much trouble! We had one small complication with our TV but Mark came straight up and sorted it for us. He also cooked us an amazing dinner each night! His son was very friendly too, as he was our waiter. He was very polite and nothing was too much trouble either! We didn’t have breakfast as we slept in both mornings but next time we visit we definitely will! We managed to book spa treatments with Charlotte last minute which we were extremely greatful for! Charlotte did the treatments for my partner and I in our room and she was amazing! Would definitely recommend her to anyone wanting to have a treatment. We felt so relaxed and sleepy after, it was a lovely treat! The spa area is lovely. I like that they keep it to one group at a time so as it was just the two of us we used it at the time of our booked slot. It was lovely to have all the facilities to ourselves! We were allowed to use this spa as many times during our stay which is a bonus as a lot of places are once only! We stayed in the Tiger Lilly room. Wow! It was just amazing! The views were beautiful, the bed was extremely comfy. We had lots of space and the shower and bath were amazing too! The only thing that I could recommend is maybe having somewhere to hang towels etc to dry such as hooks or something similar as we struggled with space with spa towels, showe towels, swim wear etc! The hotel has so much land for you to go for a walk. You don’t even need to drive anywhere if you don’t want to as there is so many beautiful views from the walk around the grounds! We loved our stay at Croydon Hall and will definitely be returning! Hopefully when the weather is nicer and the outdoor pool is open. (They said we could use it but was too cold outside to!) Thank you again to Mark and your team. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back and recommend to anyone else thinking to stay! 😊
