Sandals Barbados All Inclusive - Couples Only

I didn't like the fact that the room was dated and I couldn't update to a better room. Service was mediocre.

We went from Dec 28-January 2 for our 10th wedding anniversary, and our experience couldn’t have been any better! We thought it was worth the money! Transportation to and from the airport was extremely easy and organized. The grounds, the beach, the views were all magnificent. We felt that our room was nice for a standard room on the non royal side, although we weren’t in our room much. We felt as though the workers were all extremely friendly (I wish that I could remember names, as there were too many great people to count) that all worked their tails off. We felt that the service and hospitality was top notch, and the food was amazing. We ate at the majority of the restaurants, and everything that both my wife and I had at each was fabulous. The entertainment both during the day and at night was plentiful. I really feel that if you don’t have a great time here then it’s your own fault, as this resort provides everything! The New Year’s party and fireworks on the beach was off the chain. We have had the oppty to travel to a lot of different countries at various resorts, and we loved it here! We met several people who make it a point to come here every year, we’re talking 6, 7, 8 yrs in a row, so that speaks volumes. I would like to acknowledge our housekeeper for room 3204, as she did a marvelous job each and every day. We are Forever thankful and grateful for the Sandals staff and the marvelous country and people of Barbados, as we had the trip of a lifetime! Also amazing to meet so many solid people from all around the world. We are making sure to tell all of our friends!

Hello! My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon at Sandals Barbados (Dec 28-Jan5) . We went over new years. This is our 4th trip with Sandals, 1st at Barbados location, and thought I would share my honest opinion about the resort. A little background information- I am in my late twenties, husband is in his late thirties. We stayed at Jamaica Ochi, Royal Caribbean before. This was our first at Barbados location. We booked a club level room, oceanfront honeymoon suite on the Barbados resort. Also our first time booking a club level room. Sorry if this is lengthy but I really wanted to give my review so future guests can make an informed decision about their next travel booking. I know when we booked we also read a ton of reviews! PROS: -The property itself is beautiful. Lots of flowers, trees that are well maintained. -Sandals Royal Barbados is right next door, honestly it felt like one huge resort to us as both resorts had 1 event schedule (most occurring on the Royal side). - The beach is beautiful, nice ocean that is perfect for swimming. Sand is amazing as well. Even able to do a short walk down the beach until you run into some rock, but still a nice stroll. The beach itself was pretty calm for us. - No wait times for the restaurants. We went during a busy time, over new years, and we never had to wait to be seated at any of the restaurants. And we went at all different hours for dinner, even at peak time (6-7), never had a wait. - Location, Barbados itself we found to be a very safe island. We ventured off the resort a few times, walked down the street and ate at some local spots. We felt very safe off the resort. - Departing lounge, on the Royal side there is a departing lounge available for both sides of the resort, that guests can use to get ready when leaving when they already been checked out. It is fully equipped with showers, towels, toilets, lockers for both males and females. Thought that was a great perk for those departing later. CONS: -Outdated rooms at Barbados. One thing we did read before booking was that the rooms on the Barbados side were outdated, so this wasn’t new to us. What bothered us the most was the outdated/poorly working AC unit in our room. When we arrived it was very hot and humid in our room, front desk sent maintenance, they ended up switching a setting on our remote that was wrong. We left the room and came back later that day and it was only slightly better in the room, our sheets, clothes, papers were very damp. By this time it was late, we ended up opening the doors and falling asleep to deal with in the AM. Next day We contacted club again and they said they will contact maintenance again. We went to the beach, I came up early afternoon and the room was still humid/hot. I called the club again and they said they will send someone. Hours later we returned to our room and it was not fixed. Called back to the club and they said they came and it is fixed, it just runs slow. We ended up just de

This resort was absolutely amazing. Zo working in excursions was very helpful and Chanel at reservations was very friendly and such a great help. I asked for a better break view and she made sure I got it! I went for my birthday and it was worth every penny. Our shuttle driver Ricardo was also nice. He made the last minutes of the trip full of laughter and good vibes. Thank you sandals!

Another great Sandals vacation....Barbados did not disappoint. We had a butler room which is always such a treat! Our three butlers Nakeesha, Tre and Shak took very good care of us (really never missed a beat!). Rooms were clean and housekeeping did a great job refreshing each day. Butlers got us spots on the beach or pool side each day and made our dinner reservations which added to the pleasure of our trip. We had great service at many of the restaurants. Some highlights were Butch’s Steak and Seafood, Waitresses Jainne & Tanesha; Hostess Amanda, Butch’s Steak House Bridgette was top notch! Don't miss George at the bar just outside of Soy and at Spices Antoinette! Merry Monkey was a fun place which we visited a few times. Jalissa / Shola always took good care of us! For sure not to be missed is Tashion at the Pool Bar by Spices near spices. Kimono’s was fun too – Chelsea Ann and Christopher (chef) showed us a fun evening. FInally, the Piano Bar go and see Zebe and Soy ask for Tawnisha and be sure to meet the Hostess Marquita. Overall the resort seemed well kept - don't miss the rooftop bar and pool up there....beautiful sunsets for sure!

As a loyal member of Sandals, I must express my grave disappointment with Sandals Barbados and Sandals Royal Barbados. Customer service and quality are truly lacking at these two resorts. Some staff are inefficient and have no regard for guest needs and comfort. The food in the restaurants ( namely CHI) is pale in comparison to the food of other Sandals resorts, (yes, I have been to all except St. Vincent and the Bahamas). The best part of my vacation was the dive team, much love to Ryan, Ken, Michael, Tori, and all the others. Keep up the great job guys. The bar staff namely Abike are wonderful. Thanks to Duty Manager Brian for listening to me complain about the lack of care given to me when I tried to extend my stay so I could do some more diving. I made a request to the front desk to extend and they ignored me totally, never followed up, nor did they give me prices after phone calls and personal visits to the front desk. By the time Brian intervened, I was disgusted and chose to leave as scheduled. December 24 was a nightmare to find seating for dinner. I had to order food to go and eat at the bar next to Spices. I must mention that the food and service at Bombay, Kimonos, and Butches Chophouse were good. Had it not been for the dive team my vacation would have been a total disaster. I love the Sandals brand but I am disappointed to my core with these two resorts. The staff seems very unhappy and disorganized, and the hotel appears to be short on staff. The housekeeping lady was so mean when I asked for a teacup and replacement bathrobe. I trust that whatever is plaguing these properties will be resolved soon and the Sandals' quality will be restored.
