Outrageous price gouging €270 for a one night couple stay, we were told it was a superior room and it was quite large. Check in at 4pm and check out by 11am stretch's service boundaries. We were at a wedding hence the high tariff, the meal was very good with lots of food. The grounds are lovely too, but the price rate leaves a sour taste for a Friday in Birr.

My wife and i stayed for one night in this hotel.We have stayed in this hotel on a few occasions before and always happy with our stay. This is a big hotel with lots of rooms.The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and large. The breakfast full Irish was very filling with loads to eat. The staff were helpful and friendly. There is a swimming pool here but we did not use it. The grounds are very well landscaped with lots of colour and a grand walk all around with a play area for kids. This hotel has lots of car parking spaces which is great. We would have no problem recommending this hotel to anybody visiting Birr.

A group of us visited The County Arms for a Celebratory Dinner and Overnight stay. Fabulous Hotel. Gorgeous grounds. Rooms were spotless and very well furnished and staff were excellent. Dinner and Breakfast was delicious. Will definitely return there.

Beautiful hotel with friendly helpful staff, relaxed atmosphere, gorgeous food, really comfortable beds and a lovely leisure centre and spa. Also features a gorgeous garden which was in full bloom in April! Birr is a lovely town with beautiful castle and gardens and a lovely theatre which is worth checking for upcoming gigs.

Came for lunch with a 90yr old - they like food too! Cert disappointed that only the roast beef comes in half portions. Can’t figure out why this wouldn’t apply to the turkey & ham or lamb? Hate wasting food. Ended up ordering full portion & leaving half. Staff very friendly & helpful.

Our stay was fabulous. The hotel has a wonderful charm. Modern and clean whilst still retaining it's Georgian character. Room was comfortable, the staff were so friendly and the food was delicious. The spa was an added bonus for an extra treat for ourselves.

Amazing hotel Friendly staff Amazing food and cocktails The room was bright clean Loved the fact that on every floor there was water machine for drinking water both still and sparkling and Nespresso coffee pod machine in rooms makes for nice stay

Wow what a 2 night stay, Reception staff very friendly on check in Room was amazing loads of room and the bed was so comfortable Dinner in the bar both nights were delicious and plenty of it , and as for the cocktails yummy Breakfast each morning was tasty plenty of choices to choose from and the lady that served us each morning was so friendly and full of chat . The guys down at the pool were also very helpful. We didn’t get to get our treatments after as they were cancelled on us due to the therapist out sick and excuse now to come back . We hired out the bikes for about an hr and cycled down by the river and through the park ‘this is a great idea for your guests and we were lucky we had the weather on our side The grounds of the hotel is so pretty and well kept. Your customer service is outstanding so well done to you all and thank you for an amazing two night stay
