We have so much love for the Bridge House! We got married there a few years ago and everyone went above and beyond to ensure we had the best day. All our guests felt so special and at home and still talk about the Bridge House to this day. We have visited the hotel over and over again since, including with our little baby girl and every single time we always leave feeling valued. The staff at the Bridge House are next level, everyone is so genuinely caring, hard working and professional. The food is next level! Be that breakfast, lunch in the carvery or dinner in the balcone, every single time its exceptional. The hotel is beautiful, super cosy and great for both couples and families, the pool is a great addition and located in the middle of the town. We can't recommend it enough. We can't wait for our next stay!

Ein sehr in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel. Früher sicher nobel. Heute eher heruntergekommen. Alte zerrissene Gardinen, Dusche in der Badewanne, schmutzig, keine Klimaanlage, Fenster schwierig zu öffnen. Das Frühstück für irische Verhältnisse eher schlecht. Kein Schinken, angebotene Wurstwaren bereits angetrocknet. Das Omelette bestand hauptsächlich aus Käse.

Stayed at the Bridge House Hotel recently. What a beautiful hotel, not modern but a bit ‘oldey worldey’ with a beautiful staircase as you enter the lobby. Rooms were great and very spacious. Parking is just around the corner, very handy. You get a token to lift the barrier when you want to go out. The staff in every part of the hotel were just fabulous, so friendly from check-in (Josh was an absolute gem and couldn’t be more helpful) to the bar and restaurant. Emma one of the waitresses well we couldn’t say enough about her, she seemed to be in every part of the hotel and worked like a trojan but always with a smile on her face and always time to stop and chat. She was there late on the Saturday night and we met her again at breakfast early next morning when she said she was covering someone’s shift. It seems that breakfast on a Sunday is a full buffet hot & cold and you help yourself to everything whereas on the Monday morning we got a menu for the hot food which is preferable as it is never hot in a self-service buffet. We had afternoon tea which was delicious but have to say very expensive at €40 (without a glass of prosecco) as we have had afternoon tea in loads of hotels and even some 5 star hotels were not that expensive BUT we were given a glass on the house which was a lovely treat. The Afternoon Tea is in the lobby so a perfect place to people watch. We had a choice of eateries - the Balcone Italian or the Char Bistro bar. The Italian was just lovely, upstairs overlooking the lobby and the menu was great although not very Italian but it suited us perfectly. Despite booking the Char Bistro, as it was very busy we were told we would have to eat in the bar itself instead which, although the food was great, it was only okay in there as there was a lot of people coming back from a football match stopping in to have food and drinks so it wasn’t very relaxing with a lot of ‘traffic’. We had treatments in the Spa and they were fab as were our therapists (mine was Louise and she was excellent). The ‘changing rooms’ though could definitely do with a facelift as you were just behind a curtain with nowhere to put anything but there are lockers there. Also the relaxation room was lovely but right beside reception so quite noisy. Location wise there is a small shopping centre right across from the hotel and it was only 30 minutes from Birr Castle & Gardens which was well worth a visit. All in all a fabulous hotel and we will definitely return.

This hotel was a wonderful find! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always with a smile. My room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, making for a very comfortable stay. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, offering a wide variety of delicious options. The location was also ideal, close to shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a pleasant and enjoyable experience

The BridgeHouse Hotel Tullamore is a real gem and central to all in the heart of the lovely rural town of Tullamore. This is a good three star hotel with a warm welcome on arrival and truly professional and caring staff in all areas of the hotel. The hotel has that old world charm and elegance with good food and a well stocked wine cellar and bar. Prices are reasonable and breakfast at an all inclusive rate of €15 would be better value. The residents private car park is conveniently located given this is a town centre hotel. Rooms are cosy and elegant but modernisation will follow in time. Everything is clean and tidy and guest comfort is to the fore. We had a wonderful three day stay and we will most definitely be returning. An oasis of calm in the heart of Ireland. Good value and comfortable.

Went to my nephews wedding here after Christmas and it is the most amazing venue. The food and service were top class and the Hotel was beautifully decorated. The Hotel pulled out all the stops and delivered an excellent meal and entertainment.

I had a disappointing experience today due to the conduct of a staff member named Carrie. When paying, I mentioned that the chips served with our meal were freezing cold and that we had waited over half an hour for our food. I politely requested a small discount to reflect these issues. Unfortunately, Carrie was unwilling to offer any form of resolution. She questioned whether we had even asked anyone about the delay, to which I explained that we did have to enquire about our order. Her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional—she answered back, made faces to a colleague, and appeared generally uninterested in handling the matter appropriately. She attributed the delay to the chicken I had ordered, and I simply pointed out that this should have been communicated at the time of ordering so customers know what to expect. Her response was unnecessarily confrontational. When I mentioned the cold chips, she replied, “You ate them all though,” pulling a face, to which I explained that I am nine months pregnant and had been waiting a long time. Earlier, when she cleared our plates and asked how everything was, I had mentioned the issue, and her only response was “ok,” with no follow-up or concern shown. When we raised it again while paying, she was called over, but again showed no willingness to address the situation. If a genuine problem arises, I do not believe Carrie is equipped to handle it appropriately based on her attitude and behaviour. That said, the rest of the staff were lovely—polite, helpful, and a credit to your establishment. You’re fortunate to have such pleasant team members representing your business. We spent over 50 euro here today which is a significant amount of money for pub grub in this climate.
