Odawara Hotels with Wi-Fi

Location a bit tricky to get to n quite pour of the way. However the setting of the environment n the view was spectacular. The air was fresh. The Onsen bath were well designed n well maintained. Just that the me meal offering times were limited

The room and facilities provided were good for the price. However, the security of the hotel seems to be pretty low. When we checked-in, we were handed the wrong slip with another traveller’s name on it. Additionally, every time you leave the hotel, you need to leave your room key card with the receptionist. To collect it back, all you need to do is to tell the receptionist your room number (hence, it does not seem difficult for someone to gain access to someone else’s room). Walls were also quite thin, but not a big issue.

The host's service is very good, and there is also a cute little orange cat (but it is a free-range cat that appears randomly. I was lucky enough to see it. It is very cute and not afraid of people ~ I went to find a friend, and it turned out that my friend and the host also knew each other. What a coincidence! The host is very kind, well-equipped and clean. He prepares souvenir towels for each guest, and provides free bathrobes as pajamas (you can choose the color). There is also a lovely rooftop, which is very suitable for friends who want to experience the hotel.

The hostel is located on the second floor of an apartment building. The room is very new and overall very comfortable and very clean with a cozy lobby. Compared to other youth hostels I stayed in, there were particularly many Western tourists carrying large hiking bags. Since the business district of Odawara City is concentrated around the station, there are few restaurants and supermarkets near the hostel, and there are no washers and dryers provided. It takes you approximately 8 minutes to walk to the laundry and the centered area of the city. The hotel was right next to the Odawara JR Station, I could walk to the station from the 3/F of the hotel building conveniently ! The 3/F was the restaurant floor with over 20 choices ! Most interestingly, they were operating in an ancient Japanese complex (looking like the Edo Period). I will for sure go back to this hotel the next time I visit Odawara. However, the single room was very small, but acceptable for one person according to the Japan standard. Still, I hope that the bath room could be a little bigger. It was so small that the basin went half into the bath tub !

The hotel conditions are okay, that is, the small city of Kamamiya is relatively less crowded. To go to Hakone, you have to take a car to Odawara City and then back up.

The main disadvantages are: the hotel has no neon lights, no lobby, and it is very difficult to find the hotel. This is a fatal shortcoming. In addition, you still have to carry the suitcase up to the third floor. Others are acceptable.

The first time I stayed at a homestay in Japan, I would entrust Trip to communicate with the reservation person in advance, send it out of Odawara Station how to go and ask about the approximate arrival time in advance, very intimate. The location of the homestay is close to Odawara Station. It takes 6 or 7 minutes to walk, but because it is entered at the intersection of the left hand of the station, it is not the main street opposite the station, so it is easy to go wrong 🤭 Hahahaha, we just went wrong and returned to the station to start again.

This is a small hotel, the first floor is a small bar, the boss should be two big men, very kind. Although it is two big men, the rooms on the second floor are super clean. The room has no bathroom. It is a Japanese-style floor. You can spread the mats to sleep. This is what I like. Two showers are very clean, one bathroom is also, everything is like at home, do it yourself. Hotels booked in Trip.com, but overseas still do not use domestic software, download an agoda, book a hotel is convenient and cheap, do not need to fill in a lot of personal information like domestic.
