Extended Stay America Suites - San Diego - Oceanside

The front desk staff were courteous, though they told me nothing about any amenities the hotel had to offer. The building smelled terrible, the carpets were stained, there were cigarette burns on the kitchen counter, the curtain was torn or burned. One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at.

I ended up st the Extended stay hotel about 1year ago as a travel nurse working in the areaI will be leaving soon because I got s new travel job.I took me a while to land another job and was late paying my rent but the manager trusted me enough to not kick me to the street.The staff here is hand picked .They all are courteous.help in every way possible.On site laundry room is not the best but it is run by offsite company.Better to go to laundermat.Parking is safe.Lomg term residents are here for various reasons but are not homeless and ive never seen any drug issues or drunk guests.The staff is protective and would never allow that.Ive lost my room key almost on a daily basis and am very festitious and need new sheets weekly and daily towels.Im always given what i need.I will miss living here as I had everything i needed except my own furniture otherwise I would definatly stay at this hotel.Is especially grest for a business stay.This is not fancy like Mariott or Hilton for the price.You csn find better deals for room rates with corporate or online otherwise rates are a little too high especially in Summer and when San Diego has comic Com..

The beds were comfy. I didn't shower, My view was nice on the golf course...as far away from the STAIRS as possible (202). I needed a "my night" from my home life (live 3 miles away). At check in I asked if it was possible to get a 1st floor room; I have a walking boot on & was told no. OK at least there is an elevator. NO it was not working.I had heavy stuff & almost fell backwards going up the stairs with my bags. About midnight I woke up & knew I had to be home by 8:00 am & I was dreading the stairs down with my bags. I took into consideration the time of night I decided to take the heaviest 2 bags to my car & it would be easier to leave in the morning. Tho painful I kept my boot off cause the chaces of tumbling down the stairs was a better decision. I took 2 bags down & was walking to my car there was guy hanging out in the parking lot (only him) no Security Gard uniform. My radar went off as he was walking closer to me, I knew I had to pass him to get back into the hotel..My origional plan was leave in the morning (purse, cell phone & another bag still in room) Instead I got in my car drove home still shaking, but thankful I listened to my instincts. So much for my night away. So wrong in so many ways. I added a pet charge as I was thinking I may go get my sweet pup Rain but when I saw how hard it would have be to take her out as I didn't.

Adrien was very friendly and very available. Any request no matter how small he could assist.
