Plim Plaza Hotel

The lady that took care of me at the front desk was very rude.I came from a 4 hour drive and to enjoy with my Family. First thing I do when I arrive there was go in there and check in and she was so rude to me, I just wanted to cancel my reservation. Other than that everything else was good. They do need a microwave in the room because the one at the lobby was very dirty.

My husband and I arrived on Fri May 2, 2025 and were to leave on Sun May 4, 2025.. We checked in at the front desk at 3:00 ..lobby is dated!!!! and did not go to our room. We went out onto the board walk. We walked around noting it was very commercialized with tee shirt/ novelty shops, ice cream, funnel cakes, restaurants etc...it had a congested carnival feel. We got our suit cases from the car and went to our room- We rented a porch room which had a door to enter from the hall - which had public bathrooms right across from our room door...and had a second door from inside the room leading to a covered porch with table and chairs overlooking the board walk--- sounds terrific!! BUT the smell in the room was beyond disgusting we tried opening the windows but they were so old they only opened 2 inches and wouldn't budge to open more. We tried to put the air conditioner on and it read error! I pulled out the luggage rack which was filthy with dust-- gross! My husband said I rather sleep in the car!! I went to the front desk and requested a full refund- the personnel at the front desk were more than happy to refund us the entire amount... never again!!.. I immediately went on line and booked the HYATT Oceanside on 16th Ave- in Ocean City MD-- soooo much more our style- clean - Buyer Beware! All pics posted from the Pilm are accurate--- They say pics don't lie-- they omitted the gross pics and obviously cannot show smell

If I could give The Plim Plaza: Ocean City, Maryland negative five stars, I would. My husband and I stayed here this past weekend and the experience was unacceptable and disappointing. Let's start with these little flies in our room. No idea where they were coming from but every time we killed one, more would appear! The elevators were broken the entire time so carrying all our luggage to the 4th floor with a bum knee was so fun! On the second day I woke up to my monthly friend and needed to have the sheets changed so we went to the front desk and let them know. We went to the beach for the day and when we came back the sheets were not changed and the housekeepers had already left for the day. A housekeeper never even checked on our room from Thursday to Sunday. The door to our room was broken and had to be slammed every time we closed it. The signal on the TV was so spotty and unreliable that we couldn't watch anything because every channel just said "loading." When I went to the front desk at check out to speak to the manager about all of this he was conveniently "not there." The front desk workers seemed like they hear this all the time. I am so disappointed with my stay at the Plim Plaza. Their pool isn't even worth the horrendous state of everything else in this hotel.
