Americana Hotel Boardwalk

Paking is a hassle... forget about any handicap parking or accessibility. Check-in was not a problem. Checked for bugs, nothing noticeable until... we returned from dinner. Found roaches on ceiling and wall and they climbed behind an opening in the baseboard. Complained. Clerk gave us a hassle. We finally were given a new room. We did not want a new room. A couple roaches= a million! Didn't ever want to stay there again, esp. to sleep! We were given the run around by management. And the owner/owners were conveniently unavailable to speak to us. And we weren't even offered a # to further file a complaint since management did not adequately solve the issue. Looks are deceiving... stay elsewhere if you care about your health!

The hotel itself is very nice, we had a few glitches nothing super major but enough so I could not give it a perfect rating. First off we stayed in the "penthouse" its was just a room with a jacuzzi in the room nothing more of less. It was super clean the cleaning crew did a fantastic job. The first night we had no hot water made it impossible to use the jacuzzi or even take a shower. The main reason this is not perfect is the parking, first night no problem we parked in the lot attached to the hotel, the second night we went out to dinner and came back to NO parking. I went inside and they told me across the street they owned those condos. It was 2 lanes of traffic which you had to cross then go down the street and make a left. Imagine having young children. Luckily it was off season so it only took us a few minutes. Now mind you we went and there was exactly 2 spaces left, we took one but when we went in they were still renting rooms out. All in all its a nice hotel on the board walk loads of shops but it is a good walk if you want the amusement part of the boardwalk. Would we stay there again, no and here's the reason, they charge you $10 per day to park! That imost definitely is not right after you pay for the room you want to pay to park my car across 2 lanes of traffic? Maybe that's normal in Maryland but in New Jersey if your paying for a hotel room they do not charge you to park you car at any of the hotels by the beach.

Americana hotel boardwalk does it once again, very nice room, super comfy bed, a view of the boardwalk and a jacuzzi to boot. We have stayed here for the wife's birthday before and will continue to do so. The staff was great, the price was right and the location convenient. The only drawback was the shower drained rather slow.

Friendly stuff ,amazing location, comfy bed ,nice tv ,the view was awesome ! All the amenities were vegan which was really nice. I would recommend this to all my friends and family ! Looking forward to book my next stay at the americana hotel !!!!!

We have stayed here before and will stay here again. Bed was super comfy, room was clean with plenty of room for the two of us. Our view of the boardwalk was good when it wasn't raining or foggy like it was the morning we left. Other than that a great overnight stay.

[OC] Ocean City, Maryland [East Coast - USA]. Season almost over in October, even though it runs from March - October all year around, then many places are closed.! Booked the [PH] Penthouse on the highest floor, i.e., 7th, with beach front view. The prices are played with, example we booked for one night and paid $145, and in our test, we booked another night, and was charged $258, even though the season was almost to the end, and empty. Yes, we paid for the test method for this review for others. After entering the [PH] on the first day, the view was excellent... However, the bathroom was in poor standards, i.e., shower was dirty, and the toilet never cleaned. No worries, we went down to the front desk, mentioned the bathroom, and the toilet was cleaned badly, but possible to be cleaned correctly! Basically, zero motivation... Hand soap, shower soap, conditioner, and shampoo are not human friendly to the skin. Small frig is not stocked with nothing / zero. [TP] is like sand -paper. There are many young individuals from Eastern Europe on working VISA's working within these businesses, who in my opinion, doesn't understand and/or don't care of the USA standards! [WE] suggest booking at Marriott, Holiday Inn, and/or Hilton, which are next door to each other on the upper end of the beach front.
