Blue Water Inn

We booked this hotel but ended up leaving about two hours into our stay because it was completely uninhabitable. The smell was unbearable. There was a strong odor of cat urine throughout the building and in our room. It was so overwhelming we couldn’t stand to stay any longer. No hot water. The shower was ice cold with no hot water at all. No accessible outlets. I use a CPAP machine for sleep, but there were no outlets anywhere near the head of the bed or even on the same wall. The only outlet I could find was six feet up on an opposite wall, making it impossible to plug in my medical device safely or conveniently. Serious maintenance issues. The air-conditioning filter was full of mold, and the bedframe itself was broken and unstable. Not ADA compliant. There are no elevators in the building, which makes it inaccessible for anyone with mobility issues. We explained all these issues to the owner, but they refused to give us a refund, even though we couldn’t stay the night. Honestly, this building should be condemned by the city of Ocean City, New Jersey. It’s unsafe, unsanitary, and completely unfit for guests. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. Avoid this place at all costs!

This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed in. It was 93 degrees and the shower and the A/C didn’t work. The ice machine was broken. Terrible experience. Don’t go there!!!!

Staff friendly but hotel was terrible The hotel was very rundown, the refrigerator was chipped, the toilet had stains inside, the bathroom floor had stains, the blinds were broken, the bathroom window curtain was not hanging properly. See pics. The staff was actually very friendly and nice!

Tight Parking. Nice room if you spend most of your time at the beach/boardwalk. My family enjoyed our stay.
