Impala Island Inn

This is definately the spot for families. Almost on the boardwalk. Right next to the rides. You can use the shower facilities even after you have checked out. Best bang for your buck! It is a little dated but who spends that much time in their room in the summer? The only downside was the AC unit blows directly onto the person sleeping on the pull out couch - thats if you have the King room with the pool out sofa. We all know pull out sofa beds are uncomfortable to begin with. The King bed was comfortable. I definately would recommend this to family and friends. The also have more updated Condo units to rent if you wanted to spend the money.

Do not book this hotel until it is updated. As previous reviewers stated the property is worn. They put in a nice white dresser & headboards, bathroom vanity seems newish. Bed is comfortable. Lipstick on a pig. Very strong mold, very dirty carpet. OLD carpet, OLD shower, OLD toilet. Old style very low toilets with slow flush. Hot water in shower comes after the water runs 10 minutes or so. I stay in hotels 3 nights a week. This had THE DIRTIEST CLOGGED FILTERS I have ever seen. They had to be scrubbed, hard rinsing would not get it out. Door to the room is hard to close. One light bulb needed replacing. The sofa was shockingly mostly stain free! Walking around the pool area showed just how wrinkled, dirty and gross the indoor outdoor carpet is. In the back rooms near the LOUD roller coaster the carpet is torn and is a tripping hazard. One microwave over in the garage area, no coffee maker in rooms. It needs a good flush! This is a direct reflection of poor management/ownership. Yes it’s a great location, but needs lots of updating. The price is high as it should be for a beach location, but poor maintenance and no updating As much as we were happy to arrive, we will never be back. Do not stay here, don’t bring children that might get on the nasty carpet. Find something not moldy and updated.

Clean enough but needs updates. Would appreciate a coffee maker , maybe microwave. Location is very convenient.

Close to the beach and boardwalk. My stay was in November for a quick getaway weekend and I couldn’t have been more pleased with everything

Location, location, location This hotel is all about location, almost on the boardwalk. The place is clean and it was cleaned every day. It’s a little outdated with a tight bathroom but the location and cleanliness make it worth it
