AluaSun Helios Beach - All Inclusive

We have had a fantastic 5 nights all inclusive at Alusun. The location is perfect for the fabulous beach just outside it's doors, the beautiful park and the lovely little town of Obzor. It was our first package holiday and first all inclusive, so didn't know what to expect in terms of the food, but it was delicious. There was a huge range, including enough for vegetarians (especially on the salad bar). The hotel doesn't have loungers on the beach, but you can pay for soem. We just bought a parasol from a local shop for 15 lev and used that each day. Unlike some countries , there are plenty of free zones on the beach. Around the pool, we never had a problem finding loungers. The staff are all hard working, friendly and helpful. The animation team went to extra efforts to chat with guests and get them involved in their range of entertainment activities around the pool and in the evening. My son especially loves the water polo. WiFi is great throughout the hotel and even onto the beach I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel was clean and room was spacious. When we arrived (late arrivals at 00:30) staff had provided us with a variety of meat, cheese and bread in the restaurant which was a really nice touch. Receptionist who had checked us in was lovely as were the restaurant staff. Great selection of food in the restaurant at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Animation team were great and kept people entertained in the day at the pool with Aqua sports and family games, entertainment of an evening was also very good. Pool was a great size, I felt there was plenty of room even when there were others in there, I didn't feel there wasn't enough room to have our own space. We found that there were always sun loungers available too which was nice. Hotel backs onto the beach which is also a nice option. Pool bar was a nice touch as we could remain in the pool to get our drinks with stools to sit at the bar if you wanted. My only gripe with this experience was with a member of bar staff named Nikolos. I found his behaviour around my partner to be inappropriate knowing we were a couple. A very sleazy young lad. This made my partner feel uncomfortable to go to the bar when he was there so I would go instead. His attitude towards me was very cold, bordering rude, just very immature. Aside from this, the rest of the staff were friendly, polite and professional. Overall, good experience.

Would have gotten 5 stars but the people at reception are the rudest, most miserable, inconsiderate people ever. There’s one nice one and that’s it. When we arrived we weren’t greeted. Someone who looked rather fed up checked us in. When I got to the room I was rather disappointed because I booked a sea view and there’s a massive tree right outside our window. 1st world problems but I politely asked (because this cost us a small fortune) if there was anything else, she was so rude and huffy. They all were. One night I asked the man on reception if I could have tokens for the pool table, he was taking a personal call..I waited, then I asked about the tokens, he rolled his eyes, sighed and was so annoyed (which really upset me because I was in a great mood before that). The rest of the staff are lovely, thet cleaners make the place spotless and the food is amazing with loads of choice. I don’t know why they hire people who are so rude and they represent your hotel. They are the first people who deal with you. They were so awful that I wouldn’t come here again

If you like the smell of strong tobacco from Dutch polish Russian people around the pool and constant loud music round the pool from 10-6 drowning out your earbuds then this is the place for you Peace and tranquility it is NOT However rooms are kept very clean and food is ok It’s just the constant LOUD music from the huge speaker by the pool all day but if you want a chilled vibe there is a nice beach bar 30 meters away ORO beach bar who have the vibe just right
